Single Rechargable Batteries
Tenuously connected to this forum (doesn't really fit anywhere else!)
I recently lost one of a rechargable AAA battery, but they are sold, used and charged in pairs... which is a problem when I have an odd number Anyone know somewhere that sells them singly? |

check 7dayshop.com and consider upgrading to 900 mah AAA batteries or possibly higher quality 800 mah quality Panasonics.
Packs of 4 are as cheap as 2 packs so maybe convert someone to green issues. At 900 mah this capacity will be very very close to a AAA Duracell capacity!!!!!!! |

yep seems a good site.
Be aware that if you use 2 batteries together the lifespan of a pair of unmatched batteries can often be extremely short. charging characteristics and capacity vary according to many factors such as age, usage etc etc. A fairly new battery matched with one of similar capacity/characteristics will be possibly ok so give it a try. Wow. They sell 950mah AAA s now. Quite interesting. Frrom this Duracell page http://www.duracell.com/oem/Pdf/others/ATB-5.pdf you will see that Durcelll AAA has a capacity of 1150 mah. They are getting closer and closer. |

On a related matter we bought the Rezap from QVC, and although fairly expensive it charges 'ordinary' batteries and has proved a real bonus to us considering all the batteries we use here.

I recently bough the Superfast charger which will charge multiple or single batteries, very useful as i have some items which use either a single AA or AAA battery. Got it from quality discounts web site.

many recharges?
I think the offical 'recharge ability' data is where the capacity of the subsequent recharge goes below 80% of the rated capacity. NiMh are quoted at 1000 charges whereas Lithium are quoted at 300 or sometimes 500. However Lithium can be nortiously unstable and many Lithium cells last less than a year. |
