Who the f**k is buying this song? Seriously.

This is without doubt the worst song to make the top 20 this year, and i'm including the Bill and Ben song. It's been inside the top 5 for the last 7, thats SEVEN weeks. It's unbelievable how a song this bad can stay there. Give me Gareth Gates or S Club Juniors than this pile of shite.

Sums up the charts. An absolute disgrace.

Actully, I quite like it - though it's different to most of the music I listen to. I'd take it anyday over the total ***** that is Gareth Gates or S Club 7-1 (or S Club Juniors).

Have to disagree-obviously its not a patch on the original but its still a decent homage to it and sufficiently different to keep it interesting

I can't believe that anyone can like it. It's terrible. Although, someone must be buying it for it to stay in the top 5 for the past 7 weeks.

Hate to agree with a United fan- but I totally agree
In the last few weeks brilliant singles from Idlewild, Pet Shop Boys and Counting Crows have all disappeared from the chart after 1 week
PSB went in at 18 last week, performed brilliantly on TOTP on Friday and are nowhere to be seen this week.
The charts are indeed a disgrace
Top 10 -Ashanti, Flip and Fill, Ja Rule, Scooter, Nelly, S Club Juniors, Gareth Gates- absolutely abysmal all of them

Wow. A gooner talking sense. There's a sight.

Anyway, you're dead right. Some corkers came out this week, and only one of em got into the top ten(Vanessa Carlton). Doves are at 21, NFG are at 30 and Dirty Vegas is at 31. Disgrace

I usually fund myself agreeing with your opinions Marko, but Im afraid on this one i have to strongly disagree. Its a DEADLY track.I hate 99% of dance music-particularly all that shite thats made by the Ibiza DJs.Ive always found that clubbers go mad for nu metal and grunge when its played but stand around bored when most dance gets played. But the Logical Song is just a track you can dance like mental to-when it was played the other night the crowd went insane. Most of us ignore the majority of dance(crap like flip and fill springs to mind)but we all went mental moshing.

Kind of agree with you there Gopher, as a lot of people know, and flame me for I hate most dance music, and like you say, especially that Flip and Fill type crap.

But there is something about the two Scooter songs, that I just dont want to turn away from them when they come on TV, which I do with most dance music.

And I disagree with one of the above comments that Nelly and Ja Rule are disgraceful, I have both of their latest albums, both very talented rappers.

Scooter has been round for donkeys years in Europe, and did a lot of semi decent stuff when the German charts were full of dross

Probably a very nice set of adjustments done by his record company to set up shop in the UK, chart fixing, and maybe availability in the High Street, just when it was needed

Cant believe what others say on this thread, some criticise the charts, some the artists. At least Scooter seems to have done it his own way, so what if he is reaching higher than 'talented' UK primadonnas. Hes just using whats available to get to the top.
Good luck to him, the charts arent what they used to be

Scooter have always been cool, in a slightly cheesey sense.

I do like the logical song, only cos the speeded up vocals sound like old skool songs

Well im just in from the night out and i have to say that the logical song is quite possibly the best dance track EVER.As you know i hate most dance and have a select little grouping of tracks which i find decent(Ian Van Dahl,Maniac 2000,Faithless insomnia are about the only ones i like, along with every1 else i know). But the crowd just went insane when scooter came on.Heres the scene-after standing largely still for 45 minutes through shite such as Dee dees Forever, stuff to which about 5 people actually danced to,Scooter came on and the place went mental.Unfortuneately it was a bad version of the song so it wasnt as good an atmosphere as it should have been, but an hour later they played the best version(the chart one)and the place was esctatic.Waiting with all my friends for the good music to come on for a full 45 minutes i realised even further that in general people hate "dance" music. The tracks that got the best responses were Scooter,Papa Roaches Last Resort(went mad altogether brillaint song)Bon Jovi,Limp Bizkit rollin,Tupac Shakur California Love,Nirvana,Nickleback.Out of all those floorfillers only one was a dance song.Shows how some people in the music media would have you thinking it was great. On the radio today they said that dance clubs here were doing badly and that many Ibiza clubs are changing some nights to hip hop and metal nights.Excellent-the only thing that would put me off going to Ibiza would be the amount of dance clubs there playing nothing else.Aya Napa plays Hip hop/garage but unfortuneately nobody in Ireland really goes there.

Apart from about 3bpm, there's not really much difference to Scooter and Fill & Fill!! What do people think of 'Nessaja' - I see it's #1 already on BoxTops yet isn't due out till mid September!!

Wasn't it done by supertramp first? A great song by them, I haven't heard the latest version (and I don't think I want to)

Its Dance music although i dont class Dance as music.
Thats the current craze and although it sucks its always gonna be #1.

The same song with a few words different is out every other week and yet people still buy them

Supertramp did a song called the logical song - I was only reading this thread to find out if it was a cover. God I'm out of touch with the charts. Perversely enough, that does please me

The question I have is are the high vocals speeded up from the original Supertramp version or have they been re-recorded?

The scooter version is complete shite. I remember Scooter from a few years ago, thinking god this Euro-Dance stuff is turd, and now they have come back to put misery in my life once more. Damn them. Damn Them. Damn Them

The original was by Supertramp from the "Breakfast In America" LP released in 1979

The high vocals have been speeded up by the sounds of it

For gods sake when will someone realise that its not kylie minogue, its the bird from flip 'n' fill her name is Kelly Llorenna(don't think i spelt her second name right)

you can tell if ya listen carefully that its not kylie and also this song has been done by flip 'n' fill they're just different versions of the song by Kelly Llorenna
