I couldn’t agree more on this. It’s a simple fact that Alex had threatened throughout his time in the house that after he exited the house he would ‘immediately’ leave for modelling assignments outside of the UK. This would have concerned Big Brother because he would be no use to them in terms of after-show publicity beyond the obligatory 1 week grace period. Also your valid point about what he might have said may just have worried them so the decision was taken to force Jonny or Kate up the ladder by hiding a lot of their negative moments and fooling the public into voting for them.

The truth is that with hindsight the public would more than likely have made Alex or Jade the winner.
”

Exactly -its so obvious but then we always ridicule conspiracies. Do you remember the one about the U.S.A president being killed by a single lone gunman..................keep up the good work Kudos.

It was obvious that was the best moment of the series, so why was Davina telling Kate when she interviewed her that the viewers favourite moment of the whole sereis was when she was trying to put her trousers on drunk and falling over.
”

Was it that funny?

Was it staged?
Actually, maybe it was natural because all the other allegedly funny jonyjate moments were actually repaeted ad nauseam.

The one legged dance was interesting the first time - but the spontenaity wore thin by the 100th time.

Remembering - and possible explaining why I like a certain type of humour - Alex's moment that won (and nearly all his other memorable moments) were conducted ONCE each and once only. That is what gives the impression of NOT acting most.

Catch-phrases (including rehearsed skits like the dance) are a trick used by performers to endear themselves to the audience. It is a "shared experience", being in on the in joke.

Comedians like Paul Merton who I find much funnier than that, tend to keep you guessing: almost never repeating the same material ...

Sigh
Time to spntasniously malaprop I think

It was the 'Best moment' but it makes me laugh that a piece of 'acting' to the camera is okay in this instance yet anything any other HM does is attacked with such venom as 'playing up to the camera'

As far as i'm concerned I don't give a monkeys if any of them were 'acting, 'playing a game' etc etc as long as it was ENTERTAINING

I like Merton on TV but was sorely dissapointed when I saw him 'live' a few years back. For me you can't beat Frank Skinner (when he used to do stand-up) or Billy Conolly for pure ROTFL

I think not - as it all sinks in many people are realizing what a mistake they have made and that Alex was clearly the winner by any definition !
The voting public have finally cottoned on to the fact that they were duped by a very clever editing on the part of Channel 4 who were so desperate not to allow one of the 2 loose cannons - Alex & Jade - to win.
Channel 4 had to stop them as they knew they could in no way control them out of the House ! What would they say or do ?
So Channel 4 cynically promoted and manipulated the pliable, bland non- entity Kate whom they knew would do exactly as she was told as long as she was told what a wonderful star she was.
It's all backfired as people have very quickly cottoned on to all this.
”

Interesting point. Talking to a large group of people yesterday, most of whom had watched bits and pieces on channel 4 only, and many of those who had voted Kate felt that they'd made a mistake. Following the final nights show they wished they'd voted either Alex or Jade!

Surely it was "That's The Way (I like it)" by KC & The Sunshine Band?

That's why I got confused with Benson as I couldn't remember the name of the song. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

Well spotted. Dead or Alive covered it, hence my error in putting down the title of another Dead or Alive tune.

Yeah, but P.Morton *is* a professional comedian, Alex is NOT. The few that we have seen from Alex lead us to think that he can be the next Morton, he sure has the potential. And I can see him hosting in the future shows like Have I Got News For You.

I do hope you are joking. None of these HM's are a patch on any professional entertainer and I really don't want to see them until they are chatting on tv about the next BB.

I personally have to turn over when Brian is on SMTV I think he is very poor and he is supposed to be the most 'talented' of past HM's

They are contestants on a game show, they have entertained us for a few weeks but now it's time for them to sell their stories make a few quid and Bugger off!
