Has anyone else heard the great news that the Blue Aeroplanes have signed a deal with EMI and are releasing a brand new album this Spring and a full tour to follow!

It has been 10 years since they last had a studio album out! Good to have them back, one of the very best live bands in the last two decades and a few decent albums to boot!

One of these, Swagger, has just been re-released with a bonus disc of b-sides etc. One of the best!

'Pick a card, any card...wrong!'

"I'm speaking to you in barcode."

Thanks for the heads up, should be worth checking out.

Saw them at Glastonbury in '92, I think. Big stage so they managed to get ton's of members up there; it was pretty sweet.

Ack! I've just realised my quote comes from Beat Songs, not Swagger.

one of the best starts to an album, ever.

loved the blue aeroplanes, especially swagger and beatsongs.

just saw in Q only yesterday that swagger has been reissued, which is great, as its been practically impossible to get on cd for years.

didn't know they'd be doing new stuff tho'.

This surprised me as they haven't done anything new for 10 years!

I wonder how this new record deal came about as they were 'dropped' by a major label after 'Beatsongs'!
