convert dvd to multi region
hi there
can anyone help? i have a Sony RDRHX510 DVD/80GB recorder. unfortunately, i forgot to check if it was region limited and sods law it is resticted to region 1. is there anyway that i can convert it to multiregion on the sly? many thanks ronnie

This company will supply a special remote to allow MR for about £25. Do you mean its Region 2 only? If it was region 1 it would be a US machine and require a voltage converter |

Probably a daft question answered many times before; but why is it that the more high-end a DVD player you have, the harder it is to unlock the region coding? I got burned similarly by buying an expensive Sony ages ago; it was cheaper to buy another (el cheapo) player than to get it unlocked (with no guarantee it would even work)!
