surround system without dvd
Hey all,
Having just invested in a Panasonic DVD-S29 which I'm more than pleased with, I was just wondering if anyone could suggest a decent sounding homecinema system for around £200 that doesn't include an unneccesary DVD player. I was looking at the Panasonic SCHT15 and Sony HTSS600, both look quite good. Any idea guys? I need 1 optical input and 1 coaxial input preferably, and a nice meaty subwoofer. thanks

My son has the Sony one and its ok for him in his bedroom
2 things I don't like about it.The cable for the FL speaker is way too short, and when Dolby Digital sound is playing, the volume is not that loud. Its certainly loud enough for us downstairs, but on the whole, compared to my own system, the volume is quite low,but if you have neighbours then it will be loud enough |

Cheers!
Perhaps the Panny is a better idea. I'll have a look at the stats later... |

I doubt the Panny would be much different.
And Sony have far more history of producing audio equipment than Panasonic |
