Oh gosh still on this. Alex himself never pissed in a bin, just someone in a game show that he knew for a couple of weeks. Alex said it was wrong and just passed on Sandy's explanation for it.

Alex wasn't likely to be the one emptying out the bin unless he was going to creep over to the rich side to do it, highly unlikely.

I wonder if all those knocking Alex because Sandy peed in the bin break all ties with their friends each time they do something they don't agree with.

Sorry everybody but I would like to make a comment about Kate on GMTV this morning being as that is what the thread was about.

Someone posted earlier didn't she look pretty, well if thats why you voted for her how sad you are.

On her actual performance she didn't appear to answer the questions in any great detail or depth. She also appeared a bit nervous and when asked to read a bit from the autocue went very red.

I think underneath it all she may be a very shy person and this may be one of the reasons that she has to have a drink to perform. It could also be one of the reasons it was thought that throughout BB she was acting.

Many professional actors are very shy and often insecure of themselves off screen. Hence why so many turn to drink and drugs. Not sure if Kate could cope with the barrage of the media if she got bad press. She likes to be liked, thenwho doesn't.

I seriously think that if kate wants a career in acting the she should use the money she makes off the back of BB to support herself through drama college. She has some raw talent but definitely needs training if she wants to become the next Judi Dench.

I think that if someone wanted to pursue a career in acting then the last thing they would want to do is go on big brother. What makes you say that Kate has raw talent? I'm not saying she has or she hasnt. Just interested as to what gave you the impression she had talent as an actress, or that she wanted to be one

Just my personal opinion although I did study drama at Glasgow Uni.

Oh and it's on record that she wants to be as good an actress as Judi Dench

Her father said that she wants to do proper acting, not Eastenders on RI:SE...

Now magazine reported that her ambition was to be as good an actress as Judi Dench...

...Kate herself said that she put off auditioning for third level drama because of the expense to her parents (amongst other reasons)

..and the little matter of A level Drama.

Going on BB could open doors to TV presenting, which could open doors to the West End ( Schofield, Van Outen, Theakston etc ) which is where I've also read she'd like to be.


As for talent? she has it.

The were all in the house yesterday again.. a bit early to test friendships. Actually I am surprised you can become that close to someone in two weeks, you haven't had time to really get to know them especially in false surroundings.

When Kate was crying like crazy and in the diary room saying she wanted to leave because Alison had I was very confused. I have never cried like that over someone I had just met because I wont see them for a short while. For all they knew it could have only been a one week seperation after knowing each other two. Strange.

I would be interested to know how you define talent and how you are so sure that Kate has it.

She may or may not have talent, but larking around in front of a camera for 9 weeks reveals nothing.

I also thought that was very strange, but they did form a very close bond in the first 2 weeks. AND we don't know what it is like to be in a house with the same people 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. You could form a close friendship in those 2 weeks, like it would take a few months to do outside!

Theres a thread with all the pictures from the recent BB2 on here somewhere - i dont have the name of it but it looked like they had a brilliant time and all got on great. As for BB1 Nichola and Sada became a couple (dont know if they still are) and Tom and Clare just had their own little BB baby.

It was a treat - thankyou BB, and it was worth missing 10 mins of the games to watch - btw - it was on at 6:50pm and is repeated at 11:05pm on E4. It is again repeated on Channel 4 for an hour's special on Saturday at 10pm (I think)!

Benson, I am a dyed in the wool Alex fan - just trying to be fair. My post was to refute any notion that Katie isn't a wannabe.

I think she has a talent for impersonation and accents. She can dance but not sing (from what I've heard). From the Jerry Springer skit she can do comedy. There are thousands like her. I haven't said she's above average amongst these, but the advantage of winning BB might get her TV work, where - lest we forget - stratospheric talent is not the prerequisite.

My stance is, and always has been that she shouldn't have been in the house.

I was a bit uncomfortable watching Kate and her sisters slagging off Alex and the other HM's.
BTW I had no favourite to win this year.

I don't know about manslaughter, but I find myself in the "not funny" group, I'm afraid. Back when I was a teenager, a lad living near us died of alcohol poisoning - seems his friends got him pissed, and when he became incapable, kept on forcing booze down him.

I guess we all have our points of view on this, but remembering that makes me think it wasn't a bit of fun (sorry).

As someone with a health care background, I have to say it was a very foolhardy thing to do. Alcohol poisoning is not at all funny. I've seen the effects too often. What saddens me are the responses I've heard saying it's an OK thing to do.

I don't know how old you are Drifting, but I think by the time a person is old enough to enter the BB house, I think they are old enough to chose their friends without having to ask their mummy!!

Who needs someone else to force it down your neck. I used to do it to myself, used to drink so much I had to be sick so that I could drink some more.

However in this case it was unlikely she would have died given the close surveillance they were under.

I can't remember the words but her twin was copying Alex speaking and they all thought it was very funny. They were all in a bedroom. I will have to watch E4 at 11:05 tonight to see it again. Do you know if they repeat it then or is it a new segment ?
