I got to disagree with this statement. If Alex fans' start a thread about his possible success - fair enough - let's discuss Alex's fame. But most pro-Alex threads involve slagging off Jonny or any other HM in the same sentance, phrase, paragraph, etc. The other fans have a valid arguement to reply against these sort of remarks (even if in my eye, some replies seem very very immature - mention no names).

Peace - only works if all sides agree to stop the slagging!
”

Yea but the point is, us Alex fans have more then enough to discuss in our own threads. However the only way some Jonny\Kate fans can occupy themself is to boycott pro Alex threads, not with constructed arguments but with stupid remarks.

It would be very interested seeing Kate\Jonny fans sticking to there own threads as im sure they'd have very little to talk about. As was found with all the contestants favourite moment threads on this forum.....

I think its going to take Alex fans a little while longer to reflect on the stupidty of of the general public but im sure were get over it soon.

The reason for the continued arguments on the board is because every time a Alex thread is posted regarding his post big brother success we get the usual handful of muppets with the usual "Alex lost, get over it" etc. Alex may have lost the gameshow but we still should be able to discuss his post big brother news in peace.

Alex may have lost the show but im sure in the long run he will be the only winner
”

Hi Outlaw,

From one Alex fan to another, yes we should continue debating why Johnny and not Alex won but lets try not to get caught up in this dreadful tit for tat stuff. I keep having to agree with non Alex fans such as fatherjack (I, mean, its not on is it? because they are making more sense at the moment.

Yes, I know we get some stupid comments from anti-Alex muppets but lets try and ignore them - stupid comments from both sides are ruining some interesting threads.

Oh good, I see Borath has called for peace as well.

Come on everybody peeps, lets call a true and stop this pathetic bashing. It is making everybody look ridiculous. Humerous comments should of course be allowed (use of smilies helps.)

Chrissie, I have had lots of "slanging matches" with fatherjack, in the past, but to be honest, I think his comments at the moment are humerous ones (and he wished me Happy Birthday yesterday ). Lets all get back our sense of perspective and our sense of humour. BTW, worse, most upsetting I have received was from an Alex fan!

And that with no media/celebrity support either. Nice one, Mr Regan.
”

Erm, not quite. Jonny's family had the biggest media campaign going - still wasn't enough.

I saw it and thought the opposite. Alex looked like he'd combed his hair with a pork chop and looked pale and haggard. Jonny ( as on Friday night ) looked a different bloke to the one we saw on the poor side of the house.

Please tell me the truth - are you being serious?

For gods sake denise let go! you make this more painfull than childbirth (not that ive given birth but ill bet it stings!
Erm....extra half hour voting for jonny only????????? now this is bordering on the insane!
”

It's quite wrong to compare Jonny's final total at the end of the competition against Alex's total since people continued to vote for either Jonny or Kate. You can only sensibly compare the figures of the three candidates up to Alex's departure.

Who can ever forget Jonny's mum last Thursday & Friday trying to emotionally blackmail us into voting for Jonny with the suggestion that her son intended to give half of his possible winnings to the New York fire service ! What a disgrace.

Jonny's campaign was well planned, clubs, pubs, even colleges where students were encouraged to support him with offers of lifts down to Elstree. Regional newspaper coverage and entire workforces backing. His mum and dad's 'tireless campaigning' was commented on BBLB - even then when the polls started to lose favour for him, they pulled out their ace thinking it would tip the balance - they deserve the award more than Jonny.

Why the big campaign? I'll never understand because according to his mum he didn't go in there to become famous, but to make 12 friends.

Yes I guess they slipped in a couple of hundred thousand votes in that 20 or so minutes after alex was chucked out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the most accurate guage of peoples opinions would be the total of votes cast at Jades departure, at that point everyone had voted for who they wanted to win, not changed allegiances because someone had been knocked out.

No there is no disgrace to supporting any charity, but to tell the nation in the final week thats what will be done can only be looked at one way.

Had he won and handed it over later without using it as a vote grabber I would have a lot more admiration, or even better still to donate without making a public show of it.

As he will no doubt make more in interviews etc like the rest of them, will he be handing half of that over now he doesn't have the winning cheque?

You are nit picking ! You know jolly well what I am referring to - the cause itself is of course worthy.
Jonny's mum was using the cause, not because she cared about it, but to win sympathy votes for her theatrical son ! Now we know just where Jonny gets it from.
A decent person (and his mother) would have quietly donated the money to the New York Fire Service HAD THEY WISHED TO DO SO not used the prospect of a donation as a marketing tool !

presumiably some of the £1,000,000 alex will be getting from brylcream will be slipping out of his hands and into the coffers of some charity? I think not.

Who knows ... but then he didn't use a charity to try and grab more votes in the run up to final week.

Jonny never used september the 11th to embelish his career either, unlike alex who thought it was a terrible distraction to his career!

Many people lost their jobs due to Sept 11th, it was a fact of life, but explaining is not the same as complaining. So I assume that all those that did lose have to make other excuses of it so as not to be accused of complaining.

it was grossly unsympathetic, doing it on national tv was ridiculous, what did he expect? sat in a house, life intact, further work virtually guaranteed and the chance of winning £70k!!!
Stop making excuses for the excuse maker

See how FJ made you switch subject from debating Jonny's family voting campain (using the charity bit) to talking about Alex. This always seem to be his tactic, when he can't refute a point he turns it against Alex.

Yes true .. and notice that there is never any decent debate on the actual subjects ever. I have never seen when disagreeing putting points to those already raised. But that could also describe a few.

Rubbish, the post was dying a death! thought i would introduce somebody much more intersting LOL
You alex fans just cant deal with the truth can you...Alex is out and he went out before jonny.
P.S if alex is the real winner why spend your time coming on here bitching about someone who is ,in your minority opinion, superior? Very odd!!!!!
