Since BB has finished I've seen Jonny being interviewed on BBLB and RISE. On both of these shows he has looked very serious, withdrawn and found it difficult to raise a smile, a very different Jonny to the character he portrayed when in the house.

Are we at last seeing the true Jonny Regan, were his morose spells in the house a true reflection of his real personality. For someone that his family have claimed is always joking and larking around he's far from living up to his reputation.

Maybe his agent has advised him to forget about showbiz and concentrate on the fire brigade, or informed him that the aftershow spin-offs won't even total a six figure sum.

I must say that of the last 4, only Jade seemed to be the same as in the house.

Maybe he's just knackered ....

I'm not sure, on BBLB Jade seemed slightly contrived, almost as if she had taken some quick lessons off someone - her agent probably - on how to be polite. I'm sure if nothing was said we'd have heard more heckling from the direction of her table, not forgeting her mum, who heckles at every opportunity.
One thing's true she is reveling in her ignorance, she looks like every journo's exploitative dream.

in his post-eviction interview he looked very serious, nothing like the clowning around antics of his time in the BB house, maybe we're seeing the real Jonny now he's away from the house and he doesn't have to impress anyone anymore..

I'm not a Johnny fan but I feel that some people are being a bit harsh about how he's looking/acting now he's out. He probably hasn't had much sleep since Friday night and it would seem that the final 4 have been thrown into a very hectic schedule of tv appearances, press conferences etc. Is it possible that Johnny ( like the others) is feeling very knackered and very overwhelmed by everything that's happening? Also, remember he's knocking 30 now and at that age late nights and hectic schedules don't do a lot for the looks! At 23 I could party all night and work the next day, at 30 I could sleep all night and still struggle to work the next day!

Isn't it time for us to give up the Johnny/Alex/Kate/Jade knocking and wish them well for the future? After all, regardless of who you liked or disliked they gave us 9 weeks of entertainment and they all had faults and good points.

I am not really a Jonny fan but I think it must be very hard on ALL of them to come out and read and hear what people have been saying about them.

Obviously Jade has received the worst of this in the press etc but it seems as if she may bounce back due to having had such a hard life and being used to knocks.

Jonny must be finding it difficult to find out that many people think of him as a drunken pervert , especially as previously he may have been viewed as something of a hero in his local community - being a fireman.

Also he will have seen the evidence of his own behaviour - personally I find it difficult to watch myself even on a family video !!

I hope they will all RECOVER from the BB experience

I'd hardly call it slagging off. I made this thread based on my observations. The all-singing, all-dancing joker in the pack that we have witnessed previously seems to have disappeared.

All I am doing is posting my views to see what others think. If you don't agree with me or have an explanation for his sudden change in personality then fine I would like to hear what you have to say.

Otherwise, don't waste your precious time asking me if I've got "nothing better to do than slag Jonny off". You and many others seem to be under the impression that we should all have the same views or do nothing, but congratulate or compliment the housemates.

I would say that if he was with either Kate or Alison - both fun people - that he would be the same as he was in the house. I didn't manage to see RI:SE this morning, but I see that he was on with Alex - hardly the happiest person in the world!

He said in one of his interviews that he "bounces off" Kate. I am the same, if I am with people that have a fun outlook on life I can be happy-go-lucky, but if I am with a quiet reflective person I will also be quieter.

Does this make me a fake, or does it make me adaptable to different situations?

But you don't seem to want to discuss. A discussion is a group of people who put over different opinions. You get annoyed with anyone who has a different opinion to you.

Ah I see the problem, you must be one of the people who's TV went on the blink when Jonny went into a sort of "depression" for about 3weeks in the middle of the show. If it hadn't gone on the blink you'd have seen he does have his down days aswell.

The poor guy just can't win.
If he'd have been exactly the same outside of the house, people would have knocked him (as someone did about Kate doing her Marcus Bentley inpression on BBLB), and now he's being a little more serious, we're seeing the "real" Jonny that he hid from us for 9 weeks!! Its stupid.
All of the HMs are in a no win situation. If Jonny gets offered some TV work, everyone will cry out about him being a wannabe, if he goes back to the fire service (as he's said he wants to), then everyone will say he's failed and is only returning to his old job because he can't get anything else.
I'm still waiting for some bitchy comment about K + J being on the Chris Moyles show today, and Alex and Jade not agreeing to appear unless they get paid (that's what Chris said). Come on......don't let me down.....A + J are the real stars as they're getting paid for their personal appearances. Jonny and Kate are just doing freebies so they can milk their 15 minutes of fame!

umm slightly off topic here, sorry but I have to ask. Why should anyone appear on anything if they don't get paid for it? Only 1 person got 70k from bb, the rest still have to make a living. Another point is they are probably sensible enough to know that they won't be famous for long so while they are they should milk it for every penny they can and save for the future. Just my opinion and I'm sure I will get told off for being mercenary but it makes sense to me.

This was totally unecessary and it's provocative posts like these that turn threads into a slanging match. So before you start accusing someone of not accepting other member's points of view I suggest you get your facts right.

I can't blame them for wanting the cash. Kate has already made 70K, the others have nothing to show for it (until the money from their 'exclusives' comes through, at least )
Chris Moyles, anyway, is a bit risky, especially considering that Alex, at least, has never heard of him and I don't think Jade has either- wouldn't it be a bit of a sacrifice for them to do it for free? Jonny is a fan, he would see it as an honour, the others just see it as work.

I totally agree with you. Channel 4/Endemol havemade millions out of the housemates - now it's their turn to reap some of the benefits. And the programme was on commercial television - why should Radio 1 benefit from it/the HMs for free.
