agree... don't think there was ever anything or will be between Adele and Alex, or Alex and Kate... or PJ/Jade who actually got it together a lot more! Being couped up in the same house for a long time with the same people does strange things to the brain guys!!!

(1st of all-my credentials- I liked Kate And Alex, was quite happy that she won)

Watching Kates little film tonight I was struck by how many times she mentioned her issues with him. It was only 15 minutes long at most and she managed three specific digs hardly mentioning anyone else, especially odd on a day that Jade was splashed over the papers saying how much she hated her. It made her seem a bit petty, but then it was probably due to poor editing.

I've already said that I like Kate and I'm glad she won but I do agree with Alrightmate about the intimacy. It made her seem hypocritical and not just about the nominations either. You can't say she was just being friendly or even that she was drunk(though she was!) after all she didn't behave that way with PJ and she liked him! This is the one aspect of her behaviour that puzzled me.

I doubt we'll ever know the truth but it would be nice to think that they could sit down and talk. I hope it doesn't degenerate into a press slanging match (copyrite jade).
”

I know. I thought that they'd resolved their issues, Alex seemed to think that they had.
One thing that I didn't like about Kate on the final day was when Alex went to meet Davina.
I was very impressed with Jonny when Alex went out to the crowds, and Jonny said to Kate "can you hear that?". The expression on his face implied that he was genuinely happy for Alex that he had a great reception from the crowds, when it seemed to those in the house that he might get booed.
Kate on the other hand, just didn't give a flying f**k and just ignored what Jonny said, grabbing hold of him to celebrate.

In my eyes, it was incredibly selfish that she couldn't have felt happy and relieved for Alex, and showed just how little she actually cared about him. It was this emotional detachment to others that was suggested to us, yet many people refused to at least acknowledge it.

It's a shame, but I think I would have actually preferred Jonny to win over Kate now.
And that's coming from a big Alex fan.

You know I find myself liking Jonny more and more now (though I never hated him) and Jade less.

Regarding Kate I would LOVE it if someone (press, TV, whatever) would have the courage to challenge her on this 'cos I'm really curious.

'Kate, why were you repeatly intimate with someone you apparrantly didn't like? To the point where you were caught snogging on at least 2 occasions( by PJ in the bath and Jade on the last night) Was this part of your tactics? If so why didn't you chose someone else?'

I know it sounds bitchy, don't mean it to be, I just want to know what she'd say! I mean can you imagine say, Bubble and Narinda from last year snuggling together in the bath?

Couldn't it just be that she was elated to discover that her and Jonny were the last two? I know I would be bowled over by that fact and quite frankly, I doubt very much that if the situation was reversed, Alex would have cared very much either. They weren't bossom buddies, so why should they act otherwise? Remember that the previous night Alex had slapped them in the face by saying he regretted the BB experience, of all the times to be honest Alex! Its the same thing as Sandy walking up to Jonny the night before he left and saying 'I never liked you'.

Getting to the final two of the gameshow was and should be more important to Kate than the reception Alex got. I cringed as well when I saw them (Kate and Jonny) do the stupid one legged dance but to say she was emotionally detached and didn't care about Alex based on that particular moment is stretching it a bit.

I think you are missing the point being made here. Jonny's relationship with Alex was worst than Kate's relationship with Alex, Jonny as well wanted to be in the last 2, yet he genuinely felt happy about Alex's reception, why not Kate? Jonny was happy for Alex because he (as well as Kate and Alex himself) thought Alex will get a bad reception and get booed (because all of his friends got booed), so he was happy that it didn't happen. You would think that Kate would also.

And yes I do think that if the situation was reversed, and everything indicated that Kate will be booed or get a bad reception, I do think that Alex would have cared very much about the great reception she would get if she exited before him.

For this Jonny gets one point from me.

I disagree. Jonny has always been obsessed with the reception people got when evicted. He's made that particular comment at almost every single eviction. Kate however, has tended not to be too bothered unless its one of 'her people' and lets face it Alex isn't included in that group. She shouldn't be condemend for that. And yeah, Alex might have had a reaction if Kate was booed but I seriously doubt it would have been of the caring and considerate kind. Don't forget he called those two 'actors' and was quite bitter that the people who thought the same as him were booed. I think it would have been a justification for him if either Jonny and Kate were booed. Not saying Alex was planning and wishing them evil, but its a natural reaction to the way he was obviously feeling.

And I completely disagree with you about how Alex would have felt. Alex had more rows and issues and problems with Jade, called her by all names on the planet, including the backstabber and 2 faced bit**, yet he was reassuring her when they were on the sofa (during the final night hour) and was genuinely happy for her great reception because they all thought she will get booed!!

Yeah, but that was Jade!! Alex and Jade have arguably been closer throughout the series despite their ups and downs. I don't deny that Alex would have been genuinely concerned for her, especially considering how close they became in the last two days. If it were Kate however, which was the original issue, I still think he wouldn't have been bothered and in fact might have been secretly elated. Considering the things he said about her to Jade on Thursday afternoon, I don't think that's making a leap too far.

That to me just shows what quite a shallow person she can be then.

Another perspective to this Alex/Kate relationship is that they have fancied eachother from the word go, but the group split due to weegate has caused a lot of friction between them. I do believe they have feelings for eachother, but are both frightend of rejection through their past divided loyalties. There was also bad blood caused between their families and when Kate emerged from the house you could see her twin standing between Kate & Alex. I hope they can have a heart to heart as Kate has said that Jade should of still aproached her if she had issues with her rather than say she would chin her. I think that the same invitation would also be open to Alex. Kate seemed genuinely pleased about the reported Brylcream campaign for
Alex. As for the bad feeling over nominations I think that once Alex can reflect and watch the footage in his own environment he will understand why she nominated him every week. I don't see what all the fuss was about anyway as she only done it once after playing follow the van and Tim & Alex had created an atmosphere between them splitting the group into two. The one before that was the same day they started playing it and after nominating Jade every other HM she had never had an issue with except Alex in the past (If only she knew about the smiling assassin Tim).

Ok..... right......... I get annoyed when people twist things.
alex was annoyed that he found out that kate nominated him every week.. yes that is fact. Why? because if you remember. ( i wonder at some peoples memorys) They made up and even played follow the van. That week Alex didnt nominate Kate.
He thought that week she had less issues with him than others. Yet she still nominated him !! He didnt !!
A sense of betrayal perhaps ? A feeling of being taken for a ride and been made a fool of?
yes it is a game and she played it well......... too well.... very well acted Bravo!
But remember they are also people with feelings and i think he did have a soft spot for her.
talking of going over old ground..... i noticed Kare bought up the oranges on E4 tonight and that was on her own in the bedroom.
she harbers grudges just the same as the rest of them .......
harping over...... I'm watching E4 this week on winners week and trying to watch it objectively. I'll let you know if she wins me over..... so far she hasnt .... think it was the case of the little girl wanting an autograph. instead of thankyou for voting for her it was " one of 3 million that voted for me " if i was that little girl i would have felt belittled as she was a fan. she didnt need reminding how many others had voted for her.

Alex left school at 16 with no qualifications, so I think it is safe to say he IS a fool! No wonder he is a model, one of the few jobs that require NO BRAINS.

And Alex felt he was getting close to Kate since he made up with her and cleared the air with her. He got more intimate with her than with Jade, he got the same ups and down relationship with her as with Jade, so I maintain this consistancy that IF there were all indication that Kate might be booed and get a BAD reception and that Kate was as nervous as Jade on that sofa, Alex would have comforted her (as he did with Jade) and would have been pleased to know she got by the end a good reception (as he did with Jade).

Not exactly NO qualifications, im sure he wasnt 'ungraded' in every subject.

Lots of people leave school at 16 (myself included) it doesnt make you a FOOL or less superior than people who go on to university.

What has that to do with my reference? Or do you not have a valid point to make? maybe my comments were too close to the knuckle for you and you have no answer for them? Just silly comments like " no brains" !! sorry but your comment on that proves my point.

Argue my opinions!! thats what a forum is for.

Convince me i am wrong!!

or will it just be another slagging off in reply as u have no valid argument???

Pete Waterman left school with no qualifications, in fact he could not read or write would you class him as a fool?

As a sweeping generalisation it would probably be true to say you would be less superior than people who went to university, if you left school at 16.

So Alex is a liar then? He said HIMSELF that he gave up on school after leaving at 16 without any qualifications. He also has an inferiority complex about this which is why he attached himself to people who he was in awe of like PJ, Adele, Tim who all went to University and gained Degrees.
