Sounds like an interesting prospect. A cross between BB, Popstars and Pop Idol. However, if they planning Pop Idol 2 with Ant & Dec, at the end of this year, we could end up with two rivals and go over board with these sort of prgrammes.

I personally hated Pop Idol (btw - my girlfriend voted for Will), so 'Popstars: The Rivals' will be the better choice.

Sounds like more than a passing resemblense to Big Brother!

10 contestants!
Davina!
A house!

But with a bit of singing thrown in!

BB4 is coming sooner than you think!

I bet Kate and Jonny are filling in their application forms as we speak!

I hope not - they can't sing! Spencer and his guitar is a possibility?

I am sorry to bring this thread back up because it isn't BB but I was intrigued by the new 'Popstars - The Rivals' series. It seems like they are going to split the bands between an all girl band and an all boy band, it will end up with a battle of the sexes for a number 1 hit for X-mas.

My question is: Is anyone going to apply at the official site?
