'Grey' Imports

Richer Sounds are now offering the Toshiba SD220 multiregion for £135. This is clearly the best price around, but all their competitors warn of it being a grey import. Is that a problem? Has anyone had problems with Richer Sounds 'grey' kit? I might be wrong, but if Toshiba build it, what does it matter which country it was originally meant for.

I would steer clear of Toshiba, looking at comments on DVD Forums they seem to have incompatibility problems especially with some R1 disks. Have never had problems with my 3 Sony players.

On Richer Sound customer service is excellent, my gfs DVD player died after a week, and they replaced with new one, rather than trying to fix it.
