BB4 was a cop out after Bb3. BB3 was largely self generating after they threw the divide in as a theme - the great moments are generated by the HM not tasks or BB - Jade has a Verucca, Jonny pees in the shower, Alex gets upset with Kate preferring Spencer, Kate has comic moments, Alex falls off sofas, Jade strips, PJ accidently has a BJ, Adele fancies 4 HM...... The problem was it was dangerous. Jade could easily have hit anyone of at least 5 people and Jonny's efforts to kill Kate with drink almost saw the winner whisked off to hospital. Sunita and Sandy walked and the show could easily have lost all 4 of its finalists walking at some point or other.
BB4 went for subtler tensions (Steph is jealous of Nush) les tension and calmer HM and the calmer Hm got rid of anyone less calm asap. It just went too far.
Whats happened since is that they went to the opposite extreme. BB5 and BB6 were scripted and manipulated but the HM were far more volatile and dangerous than they had been in BB3. The really odd thing though is the lack of choice of winners compared with BB3 . Nadia was obvious , Bb6 didn't have one at all. Its as if they either couldn't find any or they put some in who underperformed or they decided that putting one into a house of unpleasant people would be so obvious that they couldn't do it. anyway Bb5 and Bb6 are dead ends - you just have to go back to the days of having multiple potential winners and a theme that allows them to emerge.
