Can portable DVD players accept inputs?

Hi

I'm considering buying a portable DVD player with LCD screen. As well as its core use, I'd like to use it as a "TV" on my desk, just for keeping an eye on Sky News etc rather than actually watching for any extended length of time. I'm planning on using a video sender to get the TV signal into the unit.

I've got my eye on the Wharfedale WDP-1210 Portable DVD Player. 10in screen for £150.

Does anyone have any experience of using these kind of units to display an AV input rather than just play DVDs?

Thanks for your advice.

Mine accepts inputs (Bush) never tried it though. My pocket TV (Casio) also supports inputs, again never tried. My Bush portable DVD player doesn't use a yellow video lead for input, it uses a separate lead which I need to buy
I suppose they'd work alright

Thanks for the reply Matty.

Argos have got a great returns policy as we all know so might be worth a try if I can find the right lead as well.
