Since another user is doing an 80s thread I thought I may as well follow with a 90s version, so what are your favourite 90s tunes and why (optional)?

Mine are:
Celine Dion- Think Twice
Ace Of Base- All That She Wants
Oasis- Don't Look Back In Anger

I do. Quite a lot of them have been mentioned already.

However, here's a selection of mine (I'd be here until daybreak if I mentioned all of them! )

Eminem - Stan
Anything by the Spice Girls
Craig David and co - Rewind
Des'ree - You Gotta Be
Shaggy - It Wasn't Me
The Men In Black song featuring Will Smith (and dancing aliens) in the video

Dodgy - Good Enough/Staying Out For The Summer
Oasis - Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back In Anger amongst others
Pulp - Disco 2000
Steps - Tragedy
Bran Van 3000 - Drinking in LA

Tin Tin Out - Here's Where The Story Ends
Gabrielle - Dreams
Strike - U Sure Do
Tamperer ft. Maya - Can You Feel It ?
David Gray - Babylon/Sail Away etc
Blur - Parklife, and others that I've forgotten
Travis - Why Does It Always Rain On Me/Driftwood/Writing To Reach You etc
Mark Morrison - Return Of The Mack
The Mavericks - Dance The Night Away
Inner City - Good Life
Shaft - Sway
TLC - No Scrubs
Moby - Porcelain, Natural Blues
Alanis Morisette - Ironic
Annie Lennox - No More I Love You's, Walking On Broken Glass, Why

I think Walking On Broken Glass is one of the first songs I remember listening to on the radio. I think I was about 5 or 6 at the time, looking at the release date of the album sort of confirms this. My mother played alot of old 80s stuff, and the Carpenters. And classical - she still has loads of old LPs, but sadly nothing to play them on as the record player died years ago, so they've been sitting atop a cupboard gathering dust.

I might have not liked some of these in the 90's, but they are my favourite tunes from the 90's

- Skunk Anansie: Anything by them They rule! In particular, I Can Dream, Weak and Hedonism.

- Bjork: Joga, Hyperballad, Isobel, I Miss You.. well, all her stuff too

- Blur: Song 2, Girls and Boys, The Universal

- TLC: Waterfalls, Creep

- Alanis Morisette - You Oughta Know, Ironic, You Learn

- Tracy Chapman: Bang Bang Bang

- The Cranberries: Zombie

- Placebo: Pure Morning, Nancy Boy

- Michael and Janet Jackson: Scream, Earth Song (only Michael)

- Jamoriquai: Deeper Underground

I was a child of the 90's, so of course, I liked all the "good" crap that was out, but most of those I listen to now.

Oh yes - that was from the Crossroads album, I believe - I've got on the 2001 release Collection, also Telling Stories is a top track. Of course, not forgetting "run, run, run, run, run" (Talkin' 'Bout A Revolution), "like a whisper, like a whisper".

Her collection is great, yeah.

She's one of those not-so-popular yet popular at the same time artists.
