Anyone notice Barrymore has turned on his friends
Plant

No matter what you think of them Pete and George have been the most supportive of Barrymore in there.

Yet he has no problem with turning on them in order to keep in with the majority group.

That man is really desperate to get his career back.

I doubt he'd get his career back even if he won, he belongs in the looney bin from what I've seen.

Saying that, he might end up as Prison entertainer, we'll have to wait and see.

The majority of the posters on this site seem to hate Barrymore so I really don't think he'll get his career back on track.

Alot of Barrymore's supporters are suppressed, like the guy that drowned in the pool. But unlike him, his supporters will once again resurface and emerge.

I don't hate him - I actually feel quite concerned for him watching him in there - the cigarette obsession is quite scary - he rowed with Dennis about handing them out and then grabbed them all and did the same himself. Then he was asking Pete for his - he can't bear not to know where the cigarettes are, who has got them etc. He just seems very tense in there now.

I agree with Rosieeee; he's a man with serious issues. The comeback's over, no tv network would touch him with a bargepole now, having seen his sensitive mental state.

They've also behaved the most pathetically throughout, so good on Barrymore for at least choosing the likes of them to face the vote over the nicer people.

I've been thinking about this a lot recently. I am just wondering how much of his condition is really a mental instability or how much is genuine game tactics. He has avoided nomination each week despite displaying some erratic behaviour.

He has been trying to mimic Pete is many respects by baiting other HMs. I have to confess that the cigarette and cleaning obsession are a little bit worrying, but he has displayed (in my opinion anyway) a slight mania which is what made is antics both on and off stage rather compelling (throwing autocues, dropping Mary Nightingale).

I am not belittling depression or bipolar disorder in any way as I have dear friends who suffer desperately and very bravely with both of these conditions, but I also know that they would never in a million years take part in a reality show feeling the way they do, no matter what riches they had been promised.

that is really interesting because I too have wondered why he would enter into something like this if he was not of sound mind. However he really seems to my inexperienced eye - to be cracking up in there - I do find it uncomfortable watching him at times.

I can't believe Mike nominated Pete over the Rula eviction thing.

I thought these guys got on so brilliantly...what with the late night bitching sessions.

We knew Pete loathed Rula almost from the start even Mike knew this too.
I couldn't imagine Pete going all huggy & kissy on Rula during the eviction process. Wise thing Pete ever did was to stay in the bedroom while the remaining HMs were in the LR...at least Pete's no hypocrite unlike Mike!!

Interesting... are any of them really friends? I would say that in a game like this it's about making alliances and alliegencies but not friends.

Friend ship will come if there is any there, long after they leave the house.

I think Barrymore is delusional and confused, and not sure of how to play it at the moment, I should imagine. The vibe from Rula's interview was that the house think there is tremendous public sympathy for him, which no doubt he believes as well - I'm afraid that couldn't be further from the truth.
