Unless something odd happens all you'll need is a box swap if you already have sky+.

So you'll still get the no signal being received message then?

The SkyHD install should consist of the install of the new 8 way LNB, additional cabling (I believe the SkyHD will be taking 4 inputs per box) and the STB.

No idea what you're talking about

It's a Sky+ box so it'll only need 2 as the current Sky+ box needs. Octo-LNB's would be nice but I won't be counting on them

The first generation box will only have two tuners so is a direct replacement of a Sky+ box.

Future boxes with 2 or more tuners will just require one cable to a new style LNB that sends the four different bands down the cable at the same time.

The Zone1 (45cm) dish if properly installed is more than capable of recieving the much stronger signals from 28.2 (compared to the older 19.2 birds) and should provide a signal in all but the worse weather.
If you live in a northern or western location then a Zone2 (60cm) dish may offer more protection as most transponder footprints weaken as they travel in the NW direction but the 28.2 slot again is more UK friendly than the older analogue birds.

If you have problems with the signal now then you should get the dish checked as well as the LNB and cabling, if the dish is performing as designed then a simple SKY+ swap with the SKY+ HD should be fine.

Don't think there's any difference in dish, it's not as if they are pointing to a new satellite for HD. All I've heard is a straight swap for Sky/Sky+ (not sure if they will still charge installation though?)

Doubt we'll be seeing a Pace HD box for sometime, I've been tracking the company reports for Pace and although in the UK Pace are the bee's nees, in other countries their have the reputation the Amstrad had here.

Along with the financial irregularities I think Sky will probably wait until the position with Pace is more stable.
