'Something's gotten Hold of my Heart' duet with Gene Pitney and Marc Almond.

Used to watch the totp recording on repeat, which I remember in a scary amount of detail..

Probably the reason why it is still one of my favourite songs

I'm sorry, I've never heard of White Horse, and I'm not too sure who Jackie is either.

Thanks for the info about Jimmy Webb. I'd no idea that the same man wrote Wichita Lineman and MacArthur Park. How amazing! In fact, I was thinking of Richard Harris' MacArthur Park when I posted here earlier. An epic song indeed! Most people today seem to hate it, but I used to absolutely love it

Omg! the record I remember vividly from my childhood was: 'I Pretend' by Des O' Connor.One of the first records I think I bought.

I remember the song Looking through Gary Gilmour Eyes at around this time I thought it was sinister. I had just left school. There was a lot of good music around then. Like there is now.
