Low sound on playback
Hi All, have purchased a Panasonic DVD-S29 player, the problem is that when watching TV the sound level is set to about 12 or 14, but when playing back DVD's I have to turn the volume up to about 28 or 30. Is this normal, or is it a fault? This applies to all DVD's played back.

Pretty normal I'm afraid. I find most DVD players output at a much lower level than VCRs, Sky, TV signal itself, etc. Don't know why either!

Does the DVD player come with Surround Sound?
If so, try changing audio options on the DVD. I've noticed that some DVD discs default to the Stereo option, which is fine if you have a two speaker setup, but it sounds quiet and muffled through Suround Sound. Through my DTS system, the strereo soundtrack is dreadful, 5.1 Surround is OK, and DTS (if available on the disc) is awesome! |

HI, I only have the output from the television, which at best is "enhanced" stereo.
