Given that the wrap party was exactly the kind of event Jonny adores - lots of alcohol, Kate, alcohol and Kate, nekkedness, and arsing around - it seems very odd that he wasn't there.

He said on his web chat that he missed it because he was "tired"; in one of the tabloids today it said he missed it because he was "spending time with his family" - both sound pretty unlikely reasons for Jonny to miss what will probably be the last BB3 binge.

Possible reasons:

1) the Dreamboys were appearing, and after 10 weeks with Alex, Jonny couldn't bear to see any more men with huge d*cks runnning around in tiny thongs (reasonable enough)

2) perhaps the lovely Joanne has stamped her tiny feet and said that "you're not getting drunk and nekked again with Kate in my lifetime, honeybunch"

3) Jonny may be rather pissed off with the media coverage he's
received since coming out of the house.

I am not a Jonny fan, but did feel quite a lot of sympathy for him when the following happened:

But the only jolly Jonny clip they seem to show is the one about showing the girls his willy. Given that he was the runner-up, it's curious how these programmes focused primarily on the negative things.

I don't think this is how Jonny thinks it was meant to be...

nb Jonny fans - I'M NOT KNOCKING JONNY - I'm actually surprised and quite sorry for him - he wants to be remembered as the man "who helped to put a smile on the face of the nation", but the TV programmes haven't been helping him much with that. Are there any I've missed which have shown him in a more positive light?

This is just an uneducated guess but i get the impression that Joanne isnt taking K and J's friendship too well.

On E4 when her and Jonny met with Kate and Alison there was a distinct lack of girly bonding going on with Joanne and Kate

Good post Cybele - I agree that Jonny could well be a bit down at the lack of media attention he seems to be getting in comparison to the others. I feel sorry for him as well. He tried his best to entertain, to give us the viewers things to watch instead of everyone sitting around being boring all the time, he tried to get the most out of his BB experience, and he seems to have been completely side-lined after coming out of the house even as the person who almost won.

It was the same on the BBLB awards - Jonny wasn't up for hardly any awards (was there even one with him in it?) and he'd be the one person who getting one of those trophies would have meant most to, I reckon.

Cybele a great post, first class analysis. I really needed that after a day at work.

I also really , really feel sorry for Jonny - all his plans, all his acting, all his plotting and double dealing and what has he achieved...........nothing.
Don't worry Jonny I'm sure you can still fit into your smart, shiny fireman's uniform. Make us all proud lad and squeeze back into it real soon.

Jade and Alex have it, so does Kate to a degree.
Jonny hasnt though. Hes a decent chap probably, and quite funny at times, but he hasnt got 'Charisma'....imo.

On a personal score he still beat Alex and Sandy who did everything to ensure that he came up for evictions so many times and all to no avail. Alex is the real loser. I remember him stating QOUTE " I want to win it just so that that they (Kate and Jonny) don't win it" to Tim. Look who got the last laugh on Alex Sandy Tim and Adele then.

Right so Kate's charisma won it for her, but Jade and Alex who you claim also have this elusive charisma lost out to Jonny who you allege has none?

As far as I remember, he was asked about the whole playing up to the cameras thing, and he said that Alex's performance behind the door was playing up to the cameras, if anything was.

fatherjack I found the the Hitler comparison deeply offensive and wholly inappropriate in this context.

It's also not true. Re Jonny, I wasn't a fan, but he did his best in the only way he knew how, and I thought he came across well in his interview with Davina, and I do think that those TV programmes all emphasised the negatives about Jonny, rather than the positives, and I'm puzzled as to why - given his popularity with a large section of the voting public .

I think he probably is puzzled too - I'm not surprised he looked fed up on RI:SE, with yet another rehashing of Weegate, and Alex telling the nation once again that he thought it was disgusting. I don't think they should have raised it yet again, it's going to haunt the poor sod for the rest of his life...

Jonny was voted more not because he was funny, but he was an all rounder. He was caring, compassionate, creative and if it wasn't for him making up the games we wouldn't of had a load of wonderful Alex moments. I agree Alex had charistma thats what I liked him for and he was much more entertaining when with Kate PJ Jonnie and others than with dim Tim and I'm afraid the way he literally took Adele on every word I just wanted to shake him up and put him back together again. Alex needs to have a mind of his own and even Davina told him in so many words that it was the friends he chose that stopped him having fun which was when he was at his best. Alex lost because of the bad atmosphere he caused many a time around the house with his condescending attitude. He was great when he dropped it. Jonny on the other hand only raised the spirit of the place and blended in with the crowd which proves he wasn't an actor. He pointed out that Alex's 70s dance was playing up to the camera which it was, because he's being accused of doing the same. Not that there was anything wrong with it as I myself love the clip and it along with Kates falling down which was a natural were two of the best.

Perhaps Jonny just decided to spend the whole night in bed with Joanne. Radical theory considering that he has been locked in a house away from her for 9 weeks.

And to the theory that Joanne might not like the K & J relationship. You are basing that on about 1 minute of video rather than the other hour that took place off camera.

Perhaps he missed the party because he WAS tired. It's not as if had had loads of pals amongst the housemates, he would probably enjoy spending time with his real friends more. (As they all would- except PJ who appears to have taken to worshipping Spencer!)

Don't know about an atmosphere between Kate and Joanne on tonights 'Winners Week' but I thought I heard Kate say that Jonny was 'a bit down' at the end of thier chat. BTW Good programme tonight, I thought Kate quite revealing about both Spencer and Jade.

Yes, clearly not. It's a pity you choose to dispense with normal standards of courtesy and reasoned debate, but happily most of the other people on this board don't choose to do that.

At the end of the day this makes no difference. They did not go into the BB house for money (70,000 pounds is not a fortune) but for the accolade of being known as a winner of BB. Alex had a personal score to settle with Jonny (as did Sandy) but Jonny beat them both. It was Adele/Alex/sandy/Tim versus the fun people like Alison/Jonny/Kate and Jonny's gang won. Kate has made history so she will now be famous forever as long as the concept of BB runs. Kate Jonny and Alison are all linked by friendship so Kate's win is a bonus for Jonny and Alison too. The real loser (1 million pound greasy hair gel or not) is Alex. He is only being rewarded for being a male model which is his profession and therefore I do not see how this can relate to BB3. He wears other people's designer clothes and promotes products in his regular job so the deal is just an extension of that. Jonny Kate and Alison made real friendships and are liked by the public. I would say they had the last laugh. Especially Kate who nominated Alex 6 times and played him for the fool he is then STILL won !!!

I was so tired last night that I even missed the Big Brother wrap party. I really enjoyed doing the Chris Moyles show with Kate though, that was fun. "

Melbb1 i wonder if jonny feels like he's beaten anybody at the moment (i'm not sure i would).

I'm a diehard alex fan but I'm honestly and i mean honestly starting to feel a bit sorry for jonny. Of all the hms i got the feeling that he most of all saw bb as a way into television/pop business. I don't buy the theory that he would be content to go back to the fire brigard. To have come second but to be ignored must be both confusing and depressing (a bit like Helen of bb2 coming out and seeing Dean and lizzie get all the jobs - his paranoia must be going into overdrive by now). A lot has been said about Jade's inability to cope (never bought that) but it often the one's you're not watching that suffer the most. So good luck jonny, I enjoyed hating you, and i really do hope you get some work/attention thrown your way.
