I can’t believe that Adele who has been out of the house now for a number of weeks and yet still has the ability to cause debates here. I am starting to wonder who was the star of the show now. Spencer, PJ, Tim and everyone else who has been evicted before the last four has never caused the forums to go mad like this. We hate or like her and are still trying to understand her and her character. Is that because we could define all the characters in the house and yet we still don't know anything about Adele, who is Adele, why has she created such a mystery about her that everyone here still wants to talk about her? Hate or love her, but I have to respect her because everyone here cant stop thinking of her and she didn't have to scream and shout like Jade, jump about like Jonny or Kate, have the sexual looks and charisma of Alex. For someone who disliked her, I am starting have a great respect for her now.

Drifting, I think Adele has been used as an "escape goat" to quote Jade. Afterall, she was only playing the game, more honestly than some, who played it more subtley and won!

I certainly don't hate her but I sure as hell have no respect for her either. I can't believe she played the game as she did without having some element of genuine nastiness in her. I have met too many people who behaved as she did and they are really very good at 'Doing nice' when needed but they still have an underlying nasty streak simmering below the surface. I think the same of Jade BTW. Why, all of a sudden, are we all supposed to love her ? Give it time, her nastiness will show once more of that I've no doubts.

Does one respect all people who are talked about? Osama Bin Laden ? Myra Hindley ? Vanilla Ice ? Adele ?

I really cannot see what she has done to be hated so much. Whatever her crime was, she didn't act alone. Nothing much changed after she left apart for Alex's moods and Jade just carried on. ...

The point has been made... however crude.

I'm I to assume you are comparing Adele with Myra Hindley a convicted Murderer?

no you're overreacting or just being difficult for the sake of it.

I was asking you a question. I'm not acting nor overreacting. Just a simple question.

I can see your point, stevenio, but I think you could have maybe used better example people... maybe just some 'harmless' popstars or soapstars or models...

Fair enough.... I am making the point that people who are talked about are not always those that are respected. If you notice I also threw Vanilla Ice in there too so there is no direct comparison to a serial killer.

Ok maybe it could be better illustrated, there is no comparison between Adele and a Serial Killer or an Osama...
...maybe Vanilla ice though

No-one talks about Vanilla Ice anymore though, do they? Unless he's done something to stay in your mind for so long?

Hmmm.... I'd have to compare with... ehhh.... soap stars.... that's essentially what big brother has been, a soap with "real people"

I am not saying I like or dislike her, I was just pointing out a fact that she is still one of most discussed housemates on these boards, every day when I log on their is another discussion about her which is an achievement considering. I honestly don't know what to make of her, I do think she was bitchy in the house, but out of the house she has seemed genuine. I am totally confused, I really don't know what to think and I believe that is the same for most people. I do believe their is a nasty side to her but I don't think she is evil, in fact I don't think anyone was evil in the house. I have read most of the posts about her some really hate her (hate I think is too extreme) some try to defend her and both sides have been interesting.

Yes, I agree with most of what you say.
I'd go one furhter and say that I do like her. I'd say she was quite normal. And I agree that she did let a negative side to herself display itself. There's reasons that I think she behaved how she did, not that she needs to justify them to us. Behaviour this year in the house, by all of them, has been magnified so much, and I don't undestand why that is so this year.
The only time I found her to be unpleasant was when she laughed at Jade, when Jade was taking the piss out of Sophie. But then again, Tim and P.J. also did.
While many people, whether they liked her or not, said that the booing was uncalled for, Adele herself said that she thought she deserved to get booed due to some of her behaviour. That's one reason why I respect her.

p.s. Adele is Dermot O'Leary's favourite housemate that he's met on BBLB. I don't think he would think that if she was truly unpleasant outside of the house.

Hey Drifting and Alrightmate, I agree with both of you . I don't understand why some people are still obsessed hating her yet they never met her.

Hey i agree too, i think she was misunderstood as she went in there to play the game! Its a shame that she was vilified for doing this but i believe she is a genuinely a nice person, and she didnt deserve all the abuse at the end of the day. I too think dermot and adele would make a very nice intelligent couple!

Surely that applies to all housemates, celebrities, politicians etc etc etc?

Have to agree I couldn't understand why she was booed so badly. She wasn't my favourite, but when all is said and done it was a only game.

Adele was playing a game, but unfortunately not as well as some of the others...PJ did plant seeds and watch them grow, Jonny put out feelers by asking HM how they felt etc etc..Adele, particularly in the beginning was generally just gossiping with Alex who was of course his own worst enemy with his mood swings, and was just too obvious.
To me her worst offence was laughing with Jade about Sophie, although she said she did really like her... and one or two uncalled for digs about Kate.
I think the real problem for me was the extent to which she got booed...noboby deserved that. Not any of the HM anyway, mass murderers etc..yes.
Also of course, after she left, she took AM viewing on E4 with her. No more gossiping sessions..just shots of the HM in bed and the chickens.:'(

I believe the reason why some people can't understand why she was booed out, is because she has proved herself to be a respectable woman. She hasn't done anything the other HMs haven't done. I believe she was a scapegoat for Jade. The media really encouraged people to vote her out and I believe they misjudged her. I'm sure some people already admitted that their perception of her was wrong. They were being gullible. I had to laugh when Jonny later admitted he wasn't being himself. So people then knew Adele's perception of Jonny was true. It all backfired in the end. Jade was a hell of a lot worst than Adele and she managed to stay in, because she had other tv personalities supporting her.

Another point is that their were 4 different supporters that night. It makes a big difference to the booing. She had no choice, she wasn't prepared and she handled it well.

So all those who tried to sweep it under the carpet with these so called made up story about Adele not playing the game. It was the viewers that booed her out of the house not the HMs.

I knew a few people who discontinued watching BB3 because they felt it was so unfair. ....

Now the people (especially the women) got what the wanted, someone to represent a woman (guess who) Kate a boring English dried rose bud and of course Jade, as thick as two bricks. Wow! what a representation. sums it up quite well I thought!
