Adele ? Well I really loved her. She was just great

Was Adele two-faced & dishonest like so many of the other HMs, bitching behind people's backs and smiling to their face ?

No - she was honest but honesty is frowned upon by so many contributers to these Forums.

Adele is so hated by certain types because she was the first to expose the fraud that is more commonly known as Jonny. Boy did she see right through him and wasn't afraid to voice her views. Following Adele's exposure the tide turned against Jonny - the public began to see right through our failed thespian friend.

To me Adele is a HERO, worthy of a medal or two and certainly deserving of the title : ' ONE OF THE TRUE WINNERS OF BB3 '

Eejay....i totally agree, any bitching she may have taken part in was used as an excuse to hate her because she had her own opinions on the housemates that the public loved, ie alison and jonny, and then enjoyed the company of sandy and tim, who were not v popular..... is that really neccessary for the abuse?

They were all bitching. Stuck in that House with total strangers for weeks on end who would not bitch. We all do it everyday.
Adele did it a lot less than most of the HMs and what she had to say privately she also said to their faces and looking directly at the cameras.

You know, I don't think that she let a more negative side show than any other housemate.

It was just what Channel 4 showed that made her so hated.

Personally I found Adele to be really nice and really articulate. I loved her accent and the way that she put things.

As I don't know her it's unlikely really isn't it? Even if I did I doubt that I would but, I can't really see the point you are making. It was stated by Eejay that she said to everyones face that which she said behind their back. That has been shown to be untrue. I'll turn the question around, would all the people who so disliked any of the HMs tell them so, and why, to their face (a la Sandy)?
I don't tend to tell people F2F that I don't like them, it is not necessary, can be hurtful and it's rude. They can work it out for themselves by my attitude toward them; I won't pretend for the sake of convienience or gain that I like someone if I do not. I will only speak to them if I have to (such as in a work environment), other than that I prefer to talk to people that I do like.

From this board alone one can see how much debate has gone on about Adele, people here have a lot of contempt for her and will express it passionately others are trying to understand her character. I still have not heard anyone else been debated as much other than the final 4. Why is that? There seems to be more topics related to Adele than of Lee, PJ and even Spencer. Even for those dislike her still want to write about her and will continue to do so.

Personally I have always liked Adele.

I think it was just the timing that was wrong .... she was up for nomination the same time as Jade .... and C4 were running scared ....

Adele in my opinion was always open and honest with BB - the biggest fault she had was telling BB all .....

I really liked Adele, I didn't at the beginning of the series, but she really grew on me. The way she was portrayed was ridiculous, I'm quite sure, some of the horrible things she said, may have been said by other HM's but we weren't allowed to see them, go to chicken coup, no sound due to legal reasons. She saw right through Jonny, I actually think she was very perceptive, which is why Alex took to her so much. I dont agree with the backbiting, but, it must have been very hard listening to the same jokes, watching the same dummy fighting day in day out. She didn't deserve the booing or the hard time she got after she came out, Dermot even had a dig at her at the awards last week about the bitching, like she was the only one doing it. I've a feeling and I sincerely hope I'm wrong, that there may have been an element of racism fuelling the hatred for Adele.(I'm talking about the booing yobs and the ones who apparently hated the girl)

I really like Adele. She was one of my favourite HM's along with Alex and Sandy. I always like people who speak the truth. I don't think she was two-faced at all. In a confined situation it would be hard tell tell people you dislike them. Jonny took Sandy's words hard even though they were true, it put in on a low for a long time. Adele was honest from the start, we knew who she disliked, her closes HM's in the house knew, the only ones who didn't know was Jonny. She was trying to avoid conflict, like many of us would. Alex even said that Adele was just too nice, whilst he would have few words with the persons he disliked, but he could understand where she was coming from in trying to avoid conflict. But like Alex said he was with his HM's 24hrs, we saw them for half an hour. So what anyone will tell him won't change his mind. The only shock to him would have been about how much Adele liked him.

I've said it before and I say it again I believe friendships Alex and Adele forged in the house were the only true ones due to the fact that they were honest with one another and spoke the truth. Kate, Jonny, PJ, Spencer never got deep with eachother only surface. We have to see in a years time who will still talk and hang out on a regular basis.

Now I am not saying that I agree with this or that I am trying to bring a race issue in to this discussion. Most of you have thought so far that she had been treated unfairly by BB and believe that this was due to the fact that C4 were scared of allowing Jade to leave the house at that time. But my friend who is black has said all the ethnic women such as Narinda and Mel from previous BB bar Alison have been booed the most and have been received poorly by the viewers. Does anyone here agree with my friend? I don't think personally race has anything to do with it well I hope not. The other question I wanted to put forward that for the consideration of future contestants watching this (this is for those who believe Adele was a scape goat.) they may copy Jade, pretend to become unstable and nasty in the house, loud etc, the producers then will try and keep the contestant in, and even if they loose the contestant would know they have made such an impact on the audience that they could become rich any way and a star for a few weeks. Therefore Jades portrayal in the house could cause many future HM's to become Jade clones. Do you think this could happen? These are not my personal views just something to discuss about.

Firstly, I'm unsure about the race issue, but i had noticed the same with mel and narinder, i liked them too, only to hear that they were 'slags, or back-stabbing bitches', and still to have the same thing happen in the 3rd year with adele, was barely understandable, why the public have reacted so much to these three individuals in the way i have seen by recieving so much abuse is confusing for me as a person living in such a multicultural society. Reading an article with Mel, she said how she stil gets abuse in the street. Of course there is a certain degree of biased editing from bb, certainly with regards to editing down jades behaviour and increasing the negativity towards adele. But still the amount of hatred for them baffels me, i understand they knew they what they were getting themselves into, still they took part in this for their own reason, played it albeit by the game or not, to then recieve such an adverse reaction...
I too agree that people can be 2 faced to a certain degree, everybody is different and in adeles case, she may have told people what she thought of them or not, but she may not have been totally honest to jonny as sandy was because she is not the kind of person to be so blatently rude to somebodies face, is this the excuse used to discriminate?

Yes, I rather feel BB stabbed Adele in the back. I thought that she handled her reception with much courage and dignity.
