110% agree

Its funny how the ones that are soooooooooooooooo eager to put the bloke down are the ones who are still trying to come to terms with Poppy not winning.

Clutching at Brylcrem covered straws while his limited shelf life ticks away........

I also wish Jonny well but the reality is that there aren't many buyers wanting to purchase his soul, no matter what kind of spin you put on it.
Jonny's performance peaked in the house and he hasn't got that kind of media attractiveness, good, bad or ugly, that the others have, in varying degrees.
I agree that a lot of the time, in the house, when he'd had a drink and was throwing Kate around, he did look like he was enjoying himself but a lot of the time, without a drink, he didn't look quite such a fun person and often looked quite miserable. Perhaps that's the side that the media are looking at now.
When money's involved, principles go out the window.

all this talk about the fors and against selling their stories is ridiculous .........if any of you lot walked out of that house and a paper or magazine is offering you 1/2 million for a few pics and a story how stupid are you to turn it down ........a once in a life time chance to give yourself financial security and too damn right i would and think 100% of you would too.
its the usual stuff critisize when your not in that situation, until it happens to you , then there'd be a different story........oh yeah it would be yours in a paper of course.
reading between the lines in jonnys story so far he hasnt been offered anything as big as jade and alex.whoever is behind jade in the financial advice area is sure pushing her to grab while you can .alex obviously being in the business of modelling must be more switched on and if you noticed his ok interview is his one and only that hes doing he probably knows very well how to market himself .......kate is automatically going to expand her bank balance by just being the winner and jonny i think may or may not be bitter, he is the sort of guy who will be wondering why he hasnt had the big bucks like the rest and when he looks back i think he will find it was his behaviour towards kate .......
trying to get her naked
pouring drink down her
leaving her with bruises
dont get me wrong she wasnt innocent i know
i think jonny will beat himself up over this and may have wished he'd been different in the house

I'd respect him more if he did just that. With the exception of Jade all the others have banged on about 'being normal' (whatever that is?), finding the showcase of BB a pantomime etc. How much more of a pantomime is the media circus that most of them are now participating in?
If they are as true to themselves as they say they want to be why are many of them suddenly aspiring to be something they will only ever be for a very small time?
They may well make (varying degrees of) money out it, and why not, but I think many of them will end up with a vastly inflated view of themselves only to come down to earth with a big bump, as many previous BB contestants have.
The signs that the majority of the public are becoming a wee bit bored with it now are already beggining to show.

I think the media want a personality when they are sober, drunks are too unpredictive so they don't want to touch Jonny. Jade though obnoxious and tight when drunk is actually bubbly and has personality when sober, ditto ten times more with Alex, that's why they are getting the deals. Its hard to say which way Kate will end up part of her huge appeal was her plainess which we could all empathise with and like a lot but post BB has no appeal for the media

Kate's doing a shoot with Davina for Vouge and has turned down the chance to make as much as Jade by starting a war against her in one of the Suns arrivals. The lady deserves respect which is more than I can say for Miss gobsh**e.

I know I said on another thread that I wasn't gonna spark off any rows BUT I thought this bore repeating to you all...

According to his interview in Now!, when Jonny told his boss at the fire brigade that he was going on BB, said boss told him he'd lose his job "if he did anything to show up the fire brigade"

Like offering more punch to an already comatose housemate that you've tried and failed to put in the recovery position and suggesting they get naked in the pool?

OOOPS!!

Read the Now article. Jonny WANTED the kind of deals that are going Alex's and the other's way. He said if those kind of deals were laid on the table he would be a fool to turn them down. He also said that he was not perceived as " zany" enough and had he known he would have modified his behaviour.

Jonny might have got more votes but what does that prove? Multiple voting means we have no idea how many people actually voted only the numbers cast. Could it be that some fans were so anxious to see their favourite win they thought to hell with the phone bill. Whereas some of Alex's fans might well have thought it not worthwhile voting when they heard about the brycream deal. Why bother wasting your own money to get someone a possible £70k when they have the chance of £1million.

I didn't vote for anyone. I enjoyed the programmes and the bulletin boards but wasn't such a mug as to line the pockets of Endermol at my own expense. I didn't like Alex's voice and I didn't find him sexy. But, reading the threads, I admire his wit. Some of his comments have been worthy of Oscar Wilde. I also admire the way he had the courage and maturity to admit to his faults in public and say that he had sometimes behaved in a way he was now ashamed of whilst in the house. I look forward to Jonny saying the same thing with regard to his appalling behaviour when Kate was paralytically drunk, his trying to force her to take more despite her protests she wanted to go to the bedroom to sleep and his reckless suggestion that two people drunk out of their minds should go for a swim.

The fact that Alex has apologised and Jonny has not makes Alex the real winner in my eyes. It takes a real man to have the guts, integrity and intelligence to see your own faults and admit to them in public. A wannabe would have kept such soul searching until after the voting. By admitting that he wished he had not gone in the house, Alex would have risked losing a lot of floating voters, including the friends and family etc of the 150,000 people who didn't make it to the house.

Hey - I'm not an Alex fan. I prefer the Anti-Jade label. I can't say I'm not please to see "Mr Heart of Gold" decent bloke not making any money. It makes me laugh with childish glee in fact. If only jade would go downhill fast as well.........

I think you all owe Jonny an apology. For weeks you've been saying he's studied BB and knows how to play the game. It's clear now he didn't do a very good job of it if he did. Brian antics combined with Craig's personality - Not a winner after all...... ”

EH? He played the game to win BB.... and he lost, you're right! AND he clearly has too little going for him to be of much sponsor interest outside of the house either!

As for the others like Alex and Jade making money, well, the ppl who MADE money from them during BB did OK, and they are just clawing back a share of their profits. Why not? The 'sponsors' still hope to PROFIT more from them than they'll cough up in fees. So I'd say it is a fair win-win situation. Jonny simply doesn't have enough appeal to be worth investing in. Is anyone surprised?

I think the real winners so far have been Jade and Alex, wow getting £500,000 and £1,000,0000 respectively compared to Kates total of £130,000 is pretty good for 3rd/4th places in the final.

Looks like whoever came second has become a nobody

Looks like Jonny's band, with Jonny as the main player will be releasing an album in the not too distant future, many people in the industry predict great thinks for this chap from the North East, probably on a par if not better then Robson/Jerome in the money stakes, conservative estimates put it at between £1,000,000 - £2,000,000

Looks as though the true winners are starting to put their mark on the map

Well it worked for Jimmy Nail ... not only all the album and single sales but he also got the part in Evita (Madonna version).

And he's a right ugly bugger ... makes Jonny look like Brad Pitt (well, almost!)

Jonny may be a genuinely nice guy but quite frankly that's all he's got going for him. His humour is too basic (I totally agree with Sandy on this) and while he's not ugly, he certainly won't be gracing any magazine covers as a model. Which leaves what? I fear Jade may be in the same boat, right now she's a novelty and people are in the throes of the post-'we-hate-Jade' campaign but how long is that going to last? Kate's most likely got a future as a model, she's got the looks and body for it and Alex is already a done deal.

Out of all the HMs this year, Jonny was the most desperate to have his life changed. His antics in the house might not have been to everyone's tastes but that's not the reason he's not getting alot of offers. Like he said himself, there is just no 'zing' to him. That's his lot and he's just going to have to accept that.

In the meantime I suppose we'll be hearing him whine about it a bit more.

I dunno ... if he gets a good manager to negotiate a decent wedge up front then it doesn't really matter how many copies he sells ... he'll have his deal and he'll have his cash. Also ... never underestimate the capacity of the public to part with readies for execrable rubbish.

Still a lot of 'ifs' to be settled but I think that if he got his record deal and got an album or two out then that would count as a success ... even if he didn't get rich.

Hi a friend works in the music business and he would need to push > 500,000+ CD's to make any sort of worthwhile money. I would much rather do a few articles in a newspaper for £500,000 > £1,000,000 anyday!.

True ... true

But if you actually wanted to be famous then perhaps you'd rather have the 'career' and not make much money, rather than have an instant stash of cash and disappearing without trace.

Not sure if any of this applies to Jonny or not ... although my gut feeling is that he'd rather be in the public eye to some degree and (relatively) poor than sitting in a big house counting his money.

Love to know where you got the info.

In the not too distant future? Tomorrow, next year or never.
Many people in the industry predict great things? What his dad, he's a singer.
Probably £1m - £2m? In his dreams.

The only map Jonny marked was his road map on his way back oop north.
