hey when im finacially able im getting a HDTV tv and the Samsung ones look good (23'' and 26'') but on my Bovatech newslstter they have this http://www.****************/novatech/s...tml?nov-lcd270 which is cheap and good size. Also its 720p compared to the Samsung 768p, is 720p better cause i heard something about 768 needs convertting and susch. So my main question is should i bother with a make like Novatech as is there a risk of the quality not being as good as the more well known Samsung?

Most likely some thing else re-branded as Novatech. Not sure if this model has built in Freeview.

BTW, I saw the Samsung 26inch LCD HD ready with Freeview for £643 on the Dixons web site.

I *think* it's the same as a Lexsor which is made by Harma/(or Harwa?) , which on the whole seems to be getting good right-ups.

The Sammys are very good sets, I have the 26" with Freeview (the one Dixons/Currys do) and the PQ via the built in Freeview tuner is miles ahead of my sagem box connected to the same TV, so getting Freeview built-in is well worth considering. Also the Sammy has HDMI, the one posted has only DVI (means you'll probably need an adaptor for most HD sources). I'd try and get a Sammy for as cheap as possible (I got mine for £499 reconditioned).
