Sky Movies 9 & 10 HD
Have bean reading next weeks tv guide and noticed
that sky movies 9 and 10 are high definition channels. So is sky is starting to roll out it's high definition service. If they are showing it in HD who will be watching, as sky have not put out their boxes or have they. pete |

Sky have announced that on the 31st January there will be a Sky Movies 10 (Sky Cinema will move channel number - see current article on the DS home page). In addition Sky Movies 9 and 10 will be designated HD channels - ie like when Sky had only one / two widesceeen channels the HD service will have the programming of these channels.
What is interesting is that they are not simulcasting Movies 1 and 2 so does this mean that do not have all the rights or will they be running a different selection of movies on the HD versions (more or fewer repeats ).It will be interesting to see what happens. |

311 and 312 look to be unused in the EPG re-shuffle. So perhaps we'll have the HD versions of 9 and 10 on there?

HD-Box
According to this month's What Satellite there is a delay due to a shortage in MPEG-4 Chips. This means they probably won't appear until at least April.
Sky never have the decency to keep us properly informed though. Nothing from registering early for example. |
