Winning Big Brother.....

...Before we start - This thread isn't about who was best or who deserved to win. Let it drop for once....

...It seems to me that in order to win Big Brother you have to be constantly and consistently entertaining. That means that Big Brother can only ever be won by an entertainer. Normal contestants are soon ignored if they can't live up to the entertaining ideal.
This stops being reality TV since normal people havn't got a hope of winning the game. To play it from within is pointless because of the image it creates outside the only hope you have is to be amusing to your fellow contestants and more importantly to the viewers. It's really pointless for normal people to take part.
Intellectuals are this biggest losers. To speak your mind is asking to lose. Since an opinion invites people to disagree with you and to make judgements on your personality. Such it is that the more intelligent are frequently the most disliked. As such having no opinion is the only safe way to go. Since I find it hard to believe people simply don't have an opinion on anything I can only conclude that contestants are just staying quiet. So we don't don't see the real people.
So we are left with entertainers with nothing to say. It's the only way to win and it seems a shame...............

Disagree - was Craig an entertainer? Believe, Alex could have won BB3, if he had played the game i.e. by not being himself and continuing to moan?

I tend to agree with Mesostim in the main.
Compared with the other HMs in BB1Craig could be classified as the entertainer of that House. Anna as the more intellectual.
(I agree with your point about Alex - disastrous alliance with Tim who was so not interested in the game.)
