Ata
Hello..
I'd like to try VOIP but want to do it via an ATA. As I'll be experimenting I'd quite like to do it on the cheap (initally!) but I'm struggling a bit to find them? The Linksys PAP2 seems to be sold out everywhere. Any other suggestions for an ATA? Thanks! Ben. |

Broadbandbuyer are out of stock.
http://www.broadbandstuff.co.uk/prod...9a81c60d2489e6 State they are in stock. I notice the prices have crept up as there is short supply of the PAP2 as it is selling so well. |

You could look at the Grandstream ATA that is on the sipgate.co.uk site.
That is the one that I use and it has been great over the last year. Zen |

I have two Grandstream ATA-486 which I use with Sipgate and can wholeheartedly recommend except for one thing.
The Incoming CLI from the POTS/PSTN line does not get replicated through to the handset. The incoming CLI from the VOIP line gets truncated to about 8 chars/numbers but Grandstream blame the make of phone I have for that. On the plus side the 486 has a failback to the PSTN line if you dial a prefix number or if the VOIP service is unavailable. |
