The look of resentment on his face as he said it said it all really. As a huge Big Brother fan, Preston knows exactly what's going on and probably realised after last night that the only winner will be Chantelle.”

I agree, and IMO Preston's not even a celebrity either.

He is bothered. He thought the same way about Faria. He dismissed Faria to her face and then evicted her with such contempt in the diary room have a look back at the footage. He evicted her because she had done nothing, according to his high standard of celebrity, to deserve a place in big brother. Youre talking nonsense. He is very conceited and will continue to dig into Chantelle in attempt to subvert her over the next couple of days when the opportunity arises.

Preston probably hoped that Chantelle would go so that he could mope around the house for a couple of days and gain the nations sympathy.

I prefer Chantelle she is doing the end well instead of badly like Preston, Pete and scarey Barrymore.

If intelligence is a two-way spike then Preston and Pete have just had Chantelle held in pincer. They both see her as the enemy flanked on both sides they held her mentally down while each one took it in turn to berate her and women. Preston with his cutting remark that she has served her purpose and Pete lacerating women to anxious non entities. They are both vile

The next 24 hours will be quite interesting.

I think Chantelle used Preston just as much as Preston used her, and now I sense she's building a few bridges with Pete which is good.

She might benefit from Pete's support if Preston does decide to cast her off publicly. Which is a cruelty he is quite capable of I'm sure

Preston actually said to Chantelle today: "If we had met in any other circumstances, we probably wouldn't even have got on". She just said "yeah" or something. :

So I think he's trying to wriggle out of their "relationship" in time to get back to his girlfriend.

Exactly. Sounds like Preston is pulling a quick damage limitation exercise before he faces the outside world (and long term girlfriend.....)

Just goes to show - the nicey nicey act may well have been just an act. Maybe George saw through him more than we all realised at the time. - And have to say, at least Pete makes bitchy comments all the time - so you know where you are with him. When it comes from Preston it seems to be all the more vicious.

Nice one Preston just kick her between the legs one more time. Has he now made full use of his disposable camera?

For those who forgot this cutting remark he referred to Chantelle as a disposable camera something cheap that you use once then throw away? That man is cruel.”

Maybe he'd just realised that he's got to face the music on Friday with his doris and with band mates and family. Is he attempting to move away from Chantelle??? Maybe if the rumours are true that GF has dumped him, he may well stick with Chantelle for a while, see how far it gets him.......... just playing devils advocate.

I've suspected Preston's motives for some time now but haven't said anything against him as I had it down to him having a gameplan as much as the others have. However, what I feel particularly distateful is insincerety on this level....i.e. using another hm all the way to the winning line and then dumping them as soon as they feel threatened tht they might win.

I don't know how much his g/f knows about these characteristics and even if it's been an agreement between them at the outset that he might have to flirt around a bit and ruthlessly do whatever it takes to win.

He's certainly duped me as I thought he and Chantelle got along and it disappoints me that anyone would shrug off what was supposed to be a good friendship just to win.

Ah well, the public sees all...so his little plan has backfired.

Can I just ask..what time did this happen, as I can't find anything about it in the live updates anywhere

I am afraid not, Pete has been clipping Chantelles wings all afternoon not to mention the female voters who he does depend on.

He only likes men but then he did launch into that evil triumvirate with Michael and George during the earlier days so what’s new.

I jave to say, you're right. But, she'll be alright.

It's not as if she felt guilty by carrying on what she thought was a 'secret affair' w/ Preston. This girl knows Preston wanted a baby with Camille.
Also, Chantelle will be ok on the outside, I'm sure.

I think Preston is quite snobby about intelligence, celebrity & clothes. come on ppl, he has a French gf who speaks 5 languages and has an MA. of course him and Chantelle weren't going to get anywhere.

====
However, I think he does find her attractive. on the live feed today he' been gazing at her, trying to get his 'fill'/make a memory.

probably using his snake eyes to read in between the lines. he's probably just being paranoid. he thought maybe that Traci was taking the mick & calling their 'relationship' a sham.

that's why he was like "ooh it's all so lovely" type of thing.

He wasn't going to let Traci get the better of him basically.

Or else, he's thinking about life on the outside/his gf.

====

when I watched the show tonight I thought Traci was going to protest at Chantelle kissing Preston that he's got a gf.

I don't know. but probably she was just giving them a suspicious look?

I'm of the opinion that there is absolutely nothing special about Chantelle and Preston's relationship at all.

Yes, there was chemistry between them at first but you often find that when you just meet someone, the real test of a friendship is if you can get past that stage without it getting too physical then it's perfectly possible for two people of the opposite sex to have a purely platonic friendship, I know because growing up most of my close friends were of the opposite sex and that pattern has remained to this day and I'm certainly no youngster at 36 years of age.

According to one of the daily papers, Camille stated that she wasn't worried about Preston flirting because she knew he was only doing it to win ... a cooked up gameplan exposed

I've really gone "off" Preston during recent coverage. I think he was so convinced he'd win it and appalled that Chantelle may well beat him, and been a tad spiteful since then.

When I first read this thread I had difficulty believing it..... but I just saw something on the live feed that seems to confirm everyones suspicions.

Chantelle made a joke that she was in love with Preston before she met Maggot.... [camera cuts to Preston] and all of a sudden he couldn't hide the enormous stress he was feeling and started rubbing his face and eyes vigerously as if to say "oh god, what have I done".

If Preston really has been using her in this way then I think he's done the most dispicable thing in the house, in my eyes making him worse than George Galloway.

Maybe he thought they had a secret understanding that it was a game plan, but now he's realised that he's made her fall for him for real.

It seems that he's now aware that housemates can no longer nominate him to be evicted, and that from now on in it's positive voting, so has to drop her gently so as to not support her too much now.

I hope it gets shown on tomorrow's show.

But if his feelings for her were genuine then he really should prefer her to win rather than himself.
