There's a rumour that the Brit people are trying to get Kate Bush to perform at the awards...

It'll probably be someone like Black Eyed Peas performing 'My Humps'.

Exactly, Maskmud. I certainly won't bother to watch if he isn't on it as I am really not bothered about the others on there. Yes, I know I'm biased, but I don't care.

I've read that Oasis won't perform now after getting just 1 nomination. They were going to do a duet with someone (I can't remember who) but James Blunt has replaced Oasis.

The Arctics have turned the Brits down as they have a gig the same night and said they didn't want to let their fans down so I'd say thats a good excuse

IMO there shouldn't be any American performers at all. It should be purely about celebrating British music.

Knowing these awards the surprise guests will be Tupac and Notorius B.I.G. doing a duet .

just what has she done lately to deserve an nomination, let alone a performance.

I find her arrogant and annoying, after she seemingly thought she could swan back into the charts without even so much as give an interview to the press or anything.

she has to learn that shes an artist stuck in the 80s, and many people dont know who she is.

anyway back on topic...

I think Madonna is a very strong possibility to perform, most likely to perform 'Sorry'

also shes dueting with Gorillaz at the Grammys, which shows that she can just about duet with anyone...

so who knows who she could perform with! maybe she could be the 'big' long performance that the Brits like, ie with 3/4 artists (like they did with was it Gwen Stefani, Pink and Alicia Keys the other year...that was very forgetable though) and also The Darkness got a long performance last year.

so I think Madge will get a long performance if she appears, maybe a montage of her new songs...or have Hung Up fade into Sorry or something.

It's a testament to her popularity that she can.

And she doesn't owe anyone, let alone the press, anything.

her record sales have been nothing special, and surely she owes the fans the odd interview, cd signing, concert etc...

she reeks of arrogance to me

I can see what you mean... but i've never been into the artist owing fans anything argument, but maybe that's because I get enough stuff from the ones I do like in terms of interviews/concerts etc. Maybe if I liked her more, i would completely agree with you though.

So having a top 3 album, top 5 single and selling nearly half a million copies of a double cd isn't enough to deserve a nomination then? As for being arrogant i think the opposite is true. If she was that bothered about having big hits and selling loads of records then she would be doing loads of media promotion wouldn't she?

They could have even got Kate Thornton to do it but Paris fcuking Hilton (along with Dave Berry and Holly Willoughby) is doing the pre-show/after-show show on ITV2. For £100,000.

What in the name of holy fcuk is wrong with the people organising the Brit Awards?
