Orange Network Searching
Anyone else having problems connecting to the Orange network this evening? Registered my Orange phone at about 5.30 this evening and I'm expecting about four texts from Orange which so far there's no sign of. Phone just keeps saying "Network Searching". I'm in deepest, darkest Norfolk.

It could take around 24/48 for your Orange Service to be activated.

You got these yet?
if not, switch your phone off for a bit - they have a tendency to keep on searching if they've been searching for a while!!!!! |

Nope still not there. I tried switching it off for a while yesterday but it came back network searching again. I blame everyone texting/ringing in for Celebrity Big Brother

Keep switching it back on and off, or give Orange a ring on 0800 079 0006 and ask what the status of your connection is atm.

I'm giving Orange a call today as it's still network searching despite switching on and off. It's been a bit demented at work & home so haven't managed to do anything before today.

Rung Orange again on 0800 079 0006 about 15 minutes ago. I'm did the switch off, remove battery for 10 seconds and then switch on again for their benefit but I'm still getting Network Search at present and none of texts from Orange have arrived. Any ideas!
Anybody want a mobile that will save you money (ie you can't make any calls/texts on it)? |

Five days is a bit much innit?
Surely that suggests a fault? |

I'm guessing its still not working?
If you got it direct from Orange rimg sales and tell them you wanna return it, if you got it from a retailer take it straight back to them. Engage attitude - point out that the goods were clearly faulty from day 1 - it should not take this long to register etc, etc, etc. |

Done and working within about 5 minutes after putting the phone down this time. Even asked me if I'd got a camera with my phone because he'd put on some free photo messaging as I'd been waiting so long.
