Doctor Who Series Two - Publicity (poss. spoilers)

I thought it would be good to start a thread with links to current publicity and confirmed information about series two - especially anything involving pictures or newspaper articles/interviews.

Here are a few older links - please add anything new as and when.

She is the baddie in the Mark Gatiss episode "The Idiot's Lantern" according to posters on OG.

("The idiots lantern" was a slang term for television in the 1950's)

Edit: And the poster on OG who claimed the above info. was correct about things in season 1, before they were made public.

Just about everything known about series two has already been collated here in the OG forums.

Doesn't seem much point in doing it all again, really.

Well another interesting rumour doing the rounds today states episode 11- the sort of calm before the storm one- is about the 2012 Olympics.

Could be crap, of course.

This is a thread for Digital Spy forum members. We don't all belong to - or would wish to visit - the OG Forums.

Fair enough but it seems a bit pointless spending hours duplicating something which has already been done. OK, you have to register with OG to read the thread but you don't have to go there more than once.

It was my attempt at being helpful so there's no need for the patronising comment, really.

Fair enough, it can be a bit of a bitch fest on those boards sometimes.

But there is no denying any new spoilers regarding the series are going to be on those boards first. It's been proven time and time again over the last couple of years- the Maureen Lipman casting was up there about a week prior to her column.

So it may be worth a look sometimes.

Apologies - didn't mean to sound snappy. Just a bit frustrating because I'm a big fan of the Digital Spy forum and I notice on quite a few threads there are posters diverting members to other forums.

Also, although OG does get a lot of information right, equally it gets a lot wrong and this thread was for people to post only confirmed news rather than rumours.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I'm not a regular visitor of OG. The level of obsession of some of the people there is actually quite worrying.

I agree that the info in the forums is often speculation but in this particular case, the thread in question seems to have collated all the known details about series two and it's quite a comprehensive list.

However, if people are happy to create a similar thread here there's no harm done. I suspect in any case that as we get nearer to the start of series two (hopefully just a matter of weeks away), we'll start to hear more about it.

With a bit of luck, in a few days we'll be able to say it's back "next month" - your suggestion, I believe?

Anyway, it works for me. The sooner the series is back, the better in my opinion.
