I am really peed off, as I have tried since 9am to get tickets at the face value of £27 - and everything was jammed - phone lines and servers. Now I can only find tickets costing £197. I know it goes on all the time for every gig/match etc but it shouldn't be allowed should it? Even the reputable agents are at it!

Lucky you! I tried Ticketmaster, seetickets, and then every other one listed in Google.

Thanks for link Sally - I called them as it was showing they had some left in Sheffield (live in York so any northern one would do) all the others had sold out - phoned as online booking wasn't playing and they have fully sold out all venues. My only hope is he will put on more dates. Managed to see him in Bridlington year before last and thought that might be last tour he did from things he said - so hope we get another chance this time.

Thanks again.

We were lucky today after trying and failing for the London dates.

There's nothing that can stop the touts really, sad but a fact of gig going and liking such a top artist.

I totally feel your pain. Ticketmaster sent me an email yesterday saying that the tickets were going on sale at 9am this morning. I was on the site, logged in and ready at 8.50 am, and I tried to buy on several occasions. The server was fine, they just blatantly have an 'attitude to doing good business' problem - tried Ticketline as well, but the same thing. Not 'Sold Out' just 'available soon'.
I've sent Ticketmaster an angry email and I've vowed never to put any business their way again and I hope others do the same. I think the moral of this story is 'Don't buy tickets over the Internet'. Queueing up is the way forward.

If it makes anyone feel better, I have reported over 100 members of eBay (F**king SCUMBAGS) whose Morrissey ticket sales violates the terms of eBay policy and the Price Indications (The Resale of Tickets) Regulations 1994. http://www.dti.gov.uk/ccp/topics1/gu...icetickets.pdf
These w*nkers have no intention of going to the gig, they just want to make £150 profit out of the real fans.
I hope that annoying a lot a ****s a little bit makes up for the huge annoyance I feel at not being able to get a ticket to see one of my favourite musicians in our home city.

If you can't get tickets you should wait until the initial panic is over. The prices on ebay go down really quickly. That's why touts are keen to get them up as soon as possible, because people panic buy.

The longer you leave it, the more likely you will be able to get tickets close to face value.

As long as you are making the face value of the tickets clear, there is no breaking of any laws so far as I can make out.

What I find really sad is the Morrissey fans who are going to the gigs but bought 4 tickets with the sole intention of selling 2 of them.

Being a big Moz fan myself I'd feel ashamed ripping off people who feel the same as me.

I was trying Ticketmaster from 9 a.m, as well, with no luck - just kept getting errors. Eventually managed to get some at about 9.20 a.m, for Oxford - I live nowhere near there but they were the only ones that said available & actually let me try to get them!
