Chantelle banks exclusive interview
Lukey37
27-01-2006
Celebrity Big Brother favourite Chantelle Houghton has a six-figure deal with the Daily Star on Sunday and OK! magazine for her first exclusive interview on leaving the show tonight.

Houghton's mother contacted celebrity publicist Max Clifford about representing her daughter, and the Paris Hilton lookalike needs only to give the nod to seal the deal when she emerges from the house.

Clifford has lined up an exclusive deal with Express Newspaper's daily and Sunday Star and its celebrity magazine OK!, which has raised the possibility of her starring alongside another of its favourite stars Katie Price, aka Jordan, in a photo shoot.

Houghton is odds-on favourite to win the show after endearing herself to the Big Brother-watching public chiefly by having the chutzpah to be the only non-celebrity in the house and the daffy, upbeat personality to cope with three weeks on a reality TV show.

When she leaves the house tonight - winner or not - she has a string of media engagements lined up, courtesy of Clifford, having become a minor celebrity in her own right.

A TV appearance on Channel 4's Richard & Judy has been arranged and Graham Norton's BBC1 show The Bigger Picture has put in a request to interview her.

And a host of women's magazines - such as Closer - and men's magazines including Maxim, want Houghton to appear on their pages.

Companies producing celebrity-fronted merchandise, such as fitness videos, have also been bidding for the 22 year-old Essex girl's services.

OMG like i so just wanna read about Chantelles amazing life and how through her own hard work and effort she has risen from a talentless topless model to a talentless fake celebrity manufactured popstar.. so its just brilliant. i love it! the UK culture is the wickedness, its like so mega now. We as got so much to be proud of.

"I wan it all.... I wan it right now.. la la la laaaaa lalalala.. do dodo"

That is like the best lyrics ever!!

OMG!!! Chantelle i just wanna be like you!!

(but i know that i can't )

so I is just gonna vote for you like x100000 times, and then have to live on beans on toast for a month whilst you get 100,000s of quids for doing nothing but talking shite and getting your photo taken.

Ah but it don't matter.. coz it don't matter does it.. but it is well funny!

Apart from the people who hate her, she has pretty much got that universal appeal that goes far - not threatening to women, attractive to men, liked by young kids and not off putting to mums and grannny's. I don't think she realises quite what she has pulled off here but she will, she will.

Yes she's Fantastic CHANTELLE will be MEGA and Not many hate her only a few who are jealous and are looking in,

she kept calm whilst the bully's tried to break her but they failed even MAGGOT LOVE'S her now and if he's honest he did try to make her look silly but fair play she went along with it and twisted it her way because she is Smart.

I disagree. To me, most of her fans seem to be common tarts that buy OK and The Sun as serious news publications and don't think for themselves... Just my impression. All the straight men I know prefer Traci.

Any other country would allow Chantelle to go back to obscurity.

Wouldn't that be nice?

This promotion of talentless nobodies saddens me. There are people with natural talent who have worked hard who don't get the opportunity because of our ridiculous culture of the last 10 years.

i dont think anyone cares, so you all consider jade goody and jordan mega celebrities?

get real a few televison appearance and magazines hardly make her mega, today the biggest stars try to shy away from that, i will never consider her a celebrity, just like i dont consider any other normal bb housemates celebs

They probably wouldn't want the opportunity though. A few topless photo sessions for the NOTW and then selling an occasional story to the tabloids about your private life? That's what's in store for Chantelle.

No I don't think so. Look at Jade. And Chantelle has the advantage of a very experience publicist.

She may not get a lifetime's career but she'll make a least a million so I don't think she will care. She is 22, she can have 2 lifetimes, this one and then whatever she decides to do (like Jade, invest the money?) when the calls stop coming.

Good luck to her.

I've no doubt she'll make money but the point I was making is that it's a career that those with a real talent would not aspire to.

Chantelle is a popstar, she has a ready made pop group waiting for her.
