It is nothing but mass hysteria. The simple truth is, George would not hurt a fly - while everyone conveniently passes over other housemates' threats of violence, such as the shameful display by Maggot threatening to "do (George's) head in"..

QUOTE]

Many people spoke of "doing someones' head in" but they weren't a 51 year old MP who prior to this episode had started to gain an awful lot of respect.

That's a fair point. I think Galloway's 'flaw-to-which-he-is-blind' is that he may - and this is a 'generous' interpretation admittedly - genuinely not realise that he often(?) 'wins' arguments less through his 'intellect' (of which he is proud) than through the 'force' of his 'style'. The House of Commons - and certain types of 'political culture' on 'both sides' - often values such 'bruisers'. Not that 'firebrand' politics is always necessarily a 'bad thing' though. Brilliant up against a load of Superpower politicians, a bit 'sledgehammer to crack a nut' to say the least when the conversation is a 'social' one with Jodie Marsh.
