Did George sway the gays?
Beginnings
27-01-2006
Firstly i realise he never swayed many but when George first went in the house all the gays were up in arms and saying he was anti gay and had links to policies his party had. Anyhow did he change your opinion in the house as he certainly didn't look homophobic to me and in fact was very close to Pete in the end. George to me is a great guy who will side with the minorities and thats great.

His behaviour only confirmed my dislike of him.

Why do people hate him so? I think he is a great politician, who campaigns against an awful lot of injustices.

What's this with 'the gays' - you wouldn't discribe other groups of people with the word the infront of them?

Why do I dislike Galloway? Well..

For a start he's a very aggressive one issue politician. I don't see himself as a campaigner against injustices at all I see him as an opportunist who will latch onto a cause only if it will further his standing among like-minded individuals.

In his meetings with Saddam (and friends) he went significantly above and beyond what would have been required of him in terms of diplomatic language. Such words he uttered would have been considered by most to be sycophantic even if said between two allied heads of state let alone a two vicious, murdering, raping, child killing, scum like Saddam and son.

He also takes himself far too seriously. I dont think he will ever or has ever been in an argument in his life that he hasnt ended up completely hating the person who holds an opposite value. We only have to look at how he ridiculously over-reacted with Preston.

Firstly: Before he went in, I had no idea who he was or what his views are/were.

Secondly: After checking on a website, it stated that he supports "SOME" gay rights. - This to me is simply unacceptable. We/I don't want to be given anything we/I want exactly the SAME AS everyone else. - No marriage but call it something different to shut up religious nutters or anything that is in any way different from the norm.

Thirdly: Had I not known or found out any of the above - His disgusting behaviour inside the house would have turned me off him anyway.

A Cheating Policitian... Who'd had thought it!

Sure you would. How else would you identify a demographic of people?

And CHEATS
Is arrogant
Is Vile
Is self-loving

So yes! A typical politician, but not a great one!

And why should I have to put up with "some" rights that straight people just get automatically?

Nelson Mandela lost his mind a long time ago. When his arse was pinched by one too many Spice Girls perhaps.

He was always overrated mind.

Oh... I just noticed that those poking fun at Mandela just happened to be the usual-supect Galloway knockers. That's all.

The problem with George and gay rights is not that he's inherently homophobic, in fact I believe he had quite a liberal voting record on gay rights in parliament in the past... My problem with him is that all this went out the window as soon as he required the muslim vote here in Bethnal Green and Bow. So much for standing up for what he believes in, his own ambition is far more important to him. His time in the house has only confirmed this for me.
