What´s your favourite FTA Channel with american shows?
I think MBC4 is the best.

The only value of American TV is that is gives those of us who support the BBC and the license fee something to point to and ask... "Would you prefer THAT??"

BBC Prime FTA again on Hottie 6 at 13e. 11117v 27500 - great news after the ending of our Total package on 16e!!

Excellent - many thanks

Particularly good news for me as it was unwatchable on 16E 10972 (or whatever).

Obviously no problems whatsoever, with Hotbird!

Edit: Just realised that this is the decent SR version.

.................there's more!

It's now the only non-package Version on Hotbird

Did you mean the only version currently FTA on Hotbird?

It is still available on various packages on Hotbird

Not quite - the non-package Version that often went FTA has now gone for ever, I believe

Be nice to have some 'Now and Next' info, though

It would be nice but at least the teletext works on this channel - in fact it works even when the channel is encrypted and is the good old fashioned teletext! I think page 300 is for what on, when!

It would be nice, but I have another encrypted version of BBC Prime that contains EPG data right next to this one so that I can refer to that channel for the program details easily.

I understand now. BBC Prime on 11117 is the new non package frequency now that the BBC World analogue signal (which used to carry it) has gone. The fact that it has started off FTA bodes well I think

The BBC seems to provide EPG data for other incarnations of BBC Prime. I've never understood why this one is excepted
