Sounds like I scanned it just as it went live..

... that was lucky...

I haven't followed 7w lately that much.. been too busy with Viasat etc.. & you expected it to just keep going the other way at 7w as just about everyone in this game expected like NS201 BADR6 BADR5 etc...

Some channels are advertising forthcoming frequency changes though & then there's always the dreaded early 'engineering' tweaks.... so subject to frequency/ signal changes then

.... but would be nice if it stayed as it is .. very handy

found some more too ..

** AB7's channel/tp transfer went live in the early hours yesterday... (23 Oct) I scanned it within hours on a new box for a customer ...

just installed another one in a pub this afternoon, an 88 - & still got most of them & @ 2pm- used to be a classic bad time of the day on 7w...

Yep, some of the transponders are even surviving this heavy rain that's bucketing it down now.

Not a service aimed at the US though. Not even sure if its produced in the states.

Thanks for posting

Fair enough. Just looked as if it was a simulcast of the American version by the presentation/commentary etc. Hopefully it'll stay FTA, but I doubt it...

Guess that's the point to be as American as possible with its range of sports. Also I think FOX Sports in the states is regional.

Hmm. didn't spot that it was at 7.3 West. I'll change the satellite position from 7.0 W - which although minor, might help with the channels that are breaking up. [EDIT: Just tried it. Intestingly, it made them worse!]

Did you get round to making that list of channels on there with FTA English movies and programmes?

I'm not too sure about ab7's best position because there's 8w & that can bleed more as you go nearer to it so that can push you back to nearer 7w for best signal to noise ratio on ab7... which is still what it's all about - I also think NS 101 & 102 stronger verticals have suffered because of the much more powerful [here] ab7 bleeding over them so mbc2 etc.. is now harder to get on 7w.... 28e bleeds over 26e badr4 otherwise you could use smaller dishes or using blocking techniques to knock down 28e [same on 7w for 8w & 5w bleed over].

the list is being updated daily - every time a movie is spotted a tick goes on that channel & most are in the evening .. number one is Panorama Action atm & it's stronger too..

What size dish are you using I get the mbc channels at 7 west but donīt seem to get any of the other ones that you mentioned.
I have an 85cm fixed at 7 °w in SW Germany

That's interesting- it may well be that AB7 is stronger in the UK & weaker in Germany .. I am pretty sure Nilesat 101/ 102 have always favoured Germany a bit more than the UK too.

I'm only using a Triax 1.1 mainly nowadays .. but we've installed loads of TD88s & TD1.1s & other similar dishes [80s 90s 1ms 1.2s etc..) around the UK, so I have some reports on these too. You can certainly get AB7 on TD 88s (85cm wide x 95cm high).

btw the TD1.1 I use atm I installed about 7 years ago .. never touched it once with spanners since it was installed & it's bang for 7w & 26e & the whole arc& it's on USALS so there is no room for nudging & you'd see anything out straight away the only sat that is off is 16,3e due to the new sat there.... I tried to tweak it for ab7 the other day & couldn't get any more out of it... not bad - since it's had up to 100mph winds & every storm in the last 7 years.

Thanks for the info I forgot to mention that my 7°w dish has a twin lnb I am sure that would not be as sensitive as a single lnb.

It doesn't follow really - it can go either way- the best example being the Invacom Quad was the top LNB for 2D on the bigger dishes round Spain etc..

& we've installed a lot of twin & quad Black Ultra LNBs that are about the same as the single - especially now they have extended the necks on the twin & quad.

depends on the lnb make/ model though.
