ARTE are showing a few Laurel and Hardy films in HD with English sound over Christmas.
Thanks a million! Was gonna spend some cash on buying their film collection for just a few favourites but four of them are being shown on Arte!

English sound? I thought they were silent movies with added music
From around 1930/1931 they began to make talkies. Some of their earlier silent films were remade with sound.

Not really new but in parallel to their DVB-S broadcast TV8 Mont Blanc can now also be found in MPEG4 via Hotbird 12692.00 H SR: 27500 FEC: 3/4 DVB-S2 8PSK

As per their own page the DVB-S signal will be available until February the 11th,

http://www.tv8montblanc.fr/Nouveaux-...bird_a109.html

No mention about their signal on Astra 19.2°E or Atlantic Bird 5°W.
