I didn't notice him smile at her . I suspect he wasn't expecting to see her there . Perhaps, he thought all his love-ins with Chantelle would have put her off but got the shock of his life when he saw her

He went in the house with one girlfriend and came out with two....RESULT!

I don't think it was the best idea for her to be there. If I was her, I would personally have stayed away. Her being there at the front of the audience whilst Preston was telling the audience that he had "no shame" about it, and the "no comment" thing, has undoubtedly made the whole situation worse.

she should have stayed away tonight to allow to him to enjoy his night, and try and get his head around a few things. I think her being there was the reason he looked thoroughly pissed off for the remainder of the final. (Along with only coming 4th.)

He seemed to have perked up for BBBM though.
Him laughing at the "dump old Frenchy" comment won't have helped either!!

Only that Chantelle announced she didn't fancy him

I think he was probably very surprised to see his GF there -he said in the house she wasn't coming to his eviction because she didn't like the publicity. Also as has been reported on other threads he had already spoken to her before his interview and was very upset which probably explains his attitude to some of the Chantelle related questions.

He seemed fine during BBBM.

Yet another example of the general mentality that has turned the Preton/Chantelle sleazefest into some kind of forbidden love story. Why should she have stayed away to let him enjoy his night? He was practically cheating on her live on TV and she's supposed to ignore it so he can enjoy his night FFS!

No wonder women get treated so badly when they just ignore behaviour like that

I don't think it's fair to criticise his gf.

no one can imagine how she feels.

aparrently she was advised to be there.

Someone said has she got no pride.

well excuse me but she hasn't gone sobbing to the papers & has tried to keep a low profile throughout despite Preston's behaviour & all the press attn she's had.

i'm glad there are ppl in this forum who knew ppl who were in the crowd & said she's really pretty.

========

She might let him enjoy his night. she smiled & waved enthusiastically when Davina pointed her out.

I think she's really brave. I hope she's got some friends with her. who knows if she'll go to the wrap party.

maybe she just needs to speak to Preston to find out from the horses mouth once & for all where she stands. simple as.

====

leave the poor girl alone. none of us can judge her. Preston has been awful to her, I feel really sorry about the press hounding her, about the public humiliation & the fact that Preston is so publically proud of what he did to her.

she's been bloody publically sacrificed by her live-in partner.

To be honest, I hope they split. I don't think it's healthy for anyone to be in a relationship with/fall in love with Samuel Preston.

she can do much much better. she speaks 5 languages, has an MA, is "really pretty" according to crowd members.

========

plus, she's prolly no that old fashioned but in France they do have a culture of keeping their private lives private, making what he's done to her even more awful.

but it shows why she had to turn up & get direct answers from him.

she's been living with him & I suppose she prolly feels she owes it to the relationship, the love & love making their souls & bodies shared to see if it's 'real'. you know.

I feel nothing but sympathy for her & think she's really classy.

Yes they do, but in nowhere near the same proportions.

Incidentally, justifying someone's cheating by saying others do it just validates my point.

He can't care that much about his girlfriend when he makes comments such as Chantelle being his soulmate and acknowledged his g/f briefly. From what I've seen I don't think he is bothered about her as such - just the fact that he's been caught on camera and has some explaining to do.

For all we know, he is desperate to get away from her and CBB was a cry for help.
Sometimes people get stuck in their ways and find it hard to make a change even if they are willing themselves to do so.
There is nothing worse than a girlfriend that "gives you evils" on a big night of your life.

Both of them knew this sort of situation could develop and she has been sold the story of the relationship between Chantelle and Preston like us.
There may be nothing to that relationship at all except the might of the BB editing tools.

I think the girlfriend is perfectly entitled to have been there - you're suggesting that she should just stay at home while her boyfriend lives it up with another woman when he should be on his knees begging her to forgive him... She is totally right to have wanted to be there, she's perfectly entitled to get an explanation at the first available opportunity like just about anyone else would under the circumstances.

I'm not sure if you followed the show on live-feed but from what I gathered, the editors didn't have to do much to convince the viewers of their love-ins.

I watched a lot on the E4 feed, it was pretty obvious from just watching them sitting talking how much attraction there was, they would just sit with their legs touching each other and gazing into each others eyes etc... And his girlfriend would have had 24 hour access to this also, I bet she was mortified.

To be honest, all the adoration for Preston on this forum (not by everyone, but by the blind idiots) makes me sick!

He may not have slept with Chantelle, but he was unfaithful in my definition in the way he behaved with Chantelle.

Anyone who thinks their (P&C's) relationship is 'cute' (vomit smiley, please) fails to notice the irony of the situation.

Both Preston and Chantelle spoke in their final interviews about trust - yet there they are deliberately abusing the trust of people outside the house.

I hope Preston's girlfriend dumps the pathetic little weasel and finds herself a real man!

...and Chantelle, if you two ever get it together, word of advice: you can't be with him 24/7! If he'll do it once, he'll do it again, so get some self respect and get out!

Catherine, he didn't do anything, did he? You can't help liking someone, but he didn't snog Chantelle, so he didn't cheat.

Oh well that makes it alright then

How humiliated must his girlfriend - an actual partner he lives with - be by all this? Tabloid journalists knocking at the door and watching her boyfriend carrying on with another woman 24/7? That woman deserves a medal for maintaining her dignity, it's a shame so many people are so quick to justify his deceitful behaviour.

I guess it's interesting that in 2006 female misogyny is still alive and well
emma555

Misogyny? That's just ridiculous.
You've obviously never liked more than one person at the same time - impossible, isn't it? The way I look at it is that you could be in love with someone, go on a two week holiday abroad, and find someone there you really like as well. Does that make you a bad person? It's human nature. When you're away from people you adapt to the situation you're in and find new people to hang around with.
To me it makes perfect sense, but anyway.
And in the BB house, everything is magnified, emotions are a lot higher than they would be normally.
