it was fractured but the viewing figures were much more

but I do think that C4/endemol need to sort out the amount of evictions

and also the way the highlights are arranged, like highlights of an evicted highlight are still shown the next day

maybe a double eviction earlier on would have helped it along a bit.

it became too clutered towards the end.

I'd like to echo all the other comments here. It's the first time in any BB where my favourite HM has won.

I'm really pleased for her.
She went onto the show to have a bit of fun and did just that.
She's come out of it 25 grand richer and will earn more money in the next few months than most of us will earn in a lifetime.
I hope it doesn't change her too much.

You must understand that being a chav means believing that there is nothing greater than yourself and she sure proves that

How much more admirable it would be for her to donate the money to a worthy charity

but guess what " oh my god , oh my god I need it for a burberry jacket and bag

And I'd hardly call it "in vain", either, if it was an exclamation of surprise or joy; seems quite reasonable. Saying "God Bless You" just because someone happens to expel some germs in the form of a sneeze seems a lot more frivolous.

she didnt get any money for going into the house whereas all the others did.
Do you honestly think Micheal and Jodie are goin g to give their 150k they were given to go into the house to charitty?
25 grand is NOTHING comapred to what some of the "celebs" were given!!
Its a bit unfair to expect her to give her money to charity but none of the others.
Anyway i read in the paper today that her chosen charity was breast cancer and so all the money people used voting for her will go there.

The issue I have with it is the whole thing stinks of a fix by Endemol to have her win, or at least do very well.

Sheer coincidence that she happens to be very pretty and a model and so will automatically appeal on that level?

Sheer coincidence that no doubt Endemol will make money from Kandyfloss and the success of their song, especially when Davina mentioned the backing singers being ready in the interview?

I have nothing against Chantelle. Not my type, but she was the one person in the house with some real backbone against Pete, and was generally nice and pleasant, if not a bit dim. But it was good to see a female win and not get voted out by the bitch vote (helped by Endemol though).

My issue is with Endemol and the 'balance' of the programme, which has got worse as the years have gone on.

The programme is planned, scripted and 'rigged'. The producers know what will happen months in advance, what the action and script outline is for each day, roughly who will go and who will stay. It's not just editing that ensures who does well. It's who is cast and what the ideas are for their character and story. It would have been decided in advance that Galloway was to be mocked. He was encouraged to be conniving as a politician and, falling for it, BB ratcheted it up by showing the others that he connived. Traci was to play bimbo US starlet. Give Rula Lady Macbeth and give Traci a swimsuit and ask her to fluff her hair, that'll help build the impression she's an airhead. Woops, Traci just gave an eloquent speech about gay rights. Doesn't fit her character plan. Tell you what, edit it out entirely and award Michael the prize. etc etc

Chantelle's win is not her own achievement. It increasingly isn't for the winners of BB. She's was just a pawn. It was pre-planned that she would win and all she had to do was to stick to her own personality and co-operate. Up against a hated maverick politician, a hated glamour model, a hated scarlet woman, an entertainer who had to flee the country and was rarely out of rehab, a washed up actress no one under 45 can remember, a moody black star of a sport barely played in England etc etc - any one of us might have had a good chance of at least doing well. Bring in the right girl, add in the blonde extensions, the topless pics for the press coverage and the sweet personality and it's virtually a dead cert.

or maybe you could stop thinking so hard, enjoy the show, or turn of and watch something else and dont use BB message boards.

ALL shows have some element of manipulation, just watch it for the entertainment that it is.

Oh dear - some people really need to chill out don't they!

The show is pure entertainment. Just stop thinking so damn hard about what isn't there and just enjoy it for what it is. Chantelle winning is a wonderful thing because A) She is such a nice girl and B) It's a very revealing insight into today's celebrity-obsessed culture in this country.

I think this years CBB has been a fascinating insight into the world of fame and fortune. You can enjoy the show purely as entertainment or you can really get in depth about it and look at the housemates very closely. You can read the show on many levels and that's what makes it so popular with so many different people and also why it's retained it's cult following over the years despite it's mainstream status.
