Hi could someone tell me what the phone lock is please. It is in the settings menu 7.Locks and then 2 Phone lock. I have only just recently got the phone and i am just playing around with it at the moment.

Q2

I have decided to put the sim card in my old nokia and type in the numbers on the sim card but when i check in the phone book on T68i it says that i need to load it to the phone memory but why because it is already on the sim card. IAM REALLY PUZZLED!!!

The phone lock can be used to so that the phone will ask for a security code everytime the phone is switched on. "Phone Lock On" Or only if a new sim card is inserted if set to "Automatic"

The phone book problem is a bit of a pain but you will need to load it into the phone memory for caller ID to work properly. Nice feature eh!

The default factory security number will be displayed in the handbook, generally they set them to 1111, but check first !

The T68 should have a default code of 0000 but they might have changed it on the T68i. As Shatmaself says the manual is the best place to check just to be on the safe side.

The T68 like most new phones uses the phone memory in preference to the SIM memory because of the advanced storage possibilities available. Each "slot" on the SIM can hold one name (up to ten letters) and one phone number. With a maximum of 200 on most SIMs this is prohibitive, although portable.

The T68 allows you to store more than just one number with each name: home, mobile, office, other number as well as email address and a picture. In this way, it can be used more like a PDA than a traditional mobile. Just make sure that you connect it at some point to Outlook on your PC to perform a synchronisation with your Contacts folder.

BTW, in order to use the [#] [YES] speeddials, you will then need to copy the numbers from the phone back to the SIM and organise them into the speeddial order you require.
