Why Shouldn't We be Pleased for Chantelle?
There's a lot of hooha regarding Chantelle - a non-celeb who won CBB, but why the negativity towards her?
This is probably the ONLY time that we have seen a housemate who went in with no gameplan. Ok so she isn't a celeb, her mannerisms may irritate people, but I honestly don't believe that she thought she would win. If Britain loves anything, it's the underdog (not that I'm saying she's a dog!) and fair play to her. She's had a lot of support whether you think she's a chav or not - she hasn't received the same amount of money as the celebs in there, she hasn't won a cash prize (that I know of). Endemol chose her to be in, if there is to be a negative reaction shouldn't it be aimed at them? I would like to say Well Done Chantelle. |

I wondered why she is called a chav too, she's nothing like what I've heard of the description of chav's. I don't really know what they are but from what I've heard it's an insulting phrase, can't understand what she's done to warrant that

I'm delighted for her. Of course she was handed a potentially huge advantage from the start but that's not her fault. I didn't want her to win but she's one of the most endearing HMs of recent times IMO.

The majority have spoken through the voting, these forums if you start supporting someone decent they just come out in droves being Negative about them because they are jealous, Fantastic that CHANTELLE WON a throughly decent Girl who deserves all the success she is going to have, and the way she took on that bully DENNIS and shut him up with i'm Not Bothered me Bothered he couldn't take it bully's cant.

I don't really know what one is I only really hear it on the radio or on here but it's always used in an insulting sort of laughing at them sort of way I'm really hoping she keeps away from that girl because she's such a sweetie and mixing with the Marsh will ruin everything she could potentially be offered. If she goes with her she'll be offered sleaze and it would be such a shame

I am kind of pleased that she won, she did deserve it. I'm just worried that now we're going to be subjected to more and more rubbish that we get from other BB winners.
I really do think celeb status will be the ruin of the poor girl. |

I'm not saying she isn't intelligent because I don't think that, brains and common sense never go together anyway, I just can't see her taking note of who she's allowed to talk to and who she's not, she's bound to let slip, she's a sweetie

I say well done Chantelle. Like beauty, celebrity is in the eye of the beholder. In essence she became a modern celebrity the second she walked in the house and by default become eligible.

I am pleased for her.
So much shit going on in the world. That, tonight, was a little bit of *niceness* A little ray of sunshine. Obviously there's many who are repulsed by niceness. I'm glad I'm not. |

I'm pleased she won, I knew as much about her before she went in, as I did about Preston, Maggot, Dennis Rodman, Faria and Traci....so that was zilch.
Maggot was the only one I preferred to Chantelle and he was so pleased to come third, he was pleased for Michael and Chantelle too. So I'm happy.

Third out of ten, to be pedantic. But I agree with the sentiment.
(And no sarky jokes about Nadia!
