I think the sad face has nothing to do with coming 4th...I think he has (suppressed) feelings for Chantelle & he knows that she is out of his reach now...

I think we have to all bear in mind that he has one hell of a rocky night to look forward to with his missus. All the highlights just added fuel to the fire and the more they showed the more uncomfortable he got.
Virtually everyone came across better at their interview than they did inside. Preston was the only exception - and he wasn't even that great in the house.
He'll be so more gutted that the nobody, he decided to use, for his televisual purposes, actually won!! Wot a P***er!!

Preston's an arrogant little sod, and obviuusly expected to either win or come second. He couldn't disguise his disappointment, and basic selfishness, at the result.
His interview wasn't that bad, it must have been very difficult with his girlfriend in the crowd and Davina wanting to talk about Chantelle all the time. It put him in a difficult position.
Also at that point, don't forget that he wasn't sure who was going to win.
I wonder how he would have felt if he'd been Chantelle's runner-up? Would that have been more acceptable or was he bent on winning?
