Most people feel dissapointed if they don't win the lottery. They know their chances of winning are slim but they play because they thimk there is a chance. So if Preston is disapointed does that mean he has a huge ego?

There are only a few people in the country who know what it feels like to be locked up in a house for three weeks for 24 hours a day without a single break.
I imagine everyone takes it differently.
Even the most confident of HM's probably cry when they finally get behnd a closed door in private.
