I never used to like EForum either, but a friend persuaded me to watch BBBM this time and I did and I now converted.

Rusell is articulate, very amusing and clearly intelligent and well read and this comes across in some of his ad libs. I have really grown to like him and like others find him strangely attractive.

The show was always a bit of a shambles, but I quite like that-live telly and all that.

I am sure they will give him a higher profile for BB7, now that Dreamboat Dermot has been relegated to the cornflakes slot when many of us are at or on our way to work.

Remember, the show is called, Big Brother's Big Mouth, therefore the three in question couldn't possibly be on the show.
There's not enough room for all those BIG mouths

I have had the misfortune of stumbling across Big Mouth on a couple of occasions, and it is painfully bad. I found Russell extremely irritating.

But then I saw him on Richard and Judy (with Paul Morley and Amanda Platell) and he was totally different. He listened (for once in his life) without interrupting, was very articulate, incisive, thought-provoking and really quite funny with it.

I was in shock.

He clearly must be "in character" when he does his own show (and it's much the worse for it).

He was better last night. Instead of the total content being 5% funny, last night had about 10% of funniness.

Agreed here - the program is filled with freaks, but I've really grown to like Russell...

Russell is a legend in his own right! He is a comedian by trade and he holds the show together well - he is so off the wall and I love him for it

Also very sext IMHO

I think RB is brilliant on BBBM - I can't think of anyone who could do it better. He handles people with a subtle but accomplished skill, actually.
He manages to 'cut to the chaste' & ask the questions we'd all like to ask, but with great humour & style - he rarely offends anyone. He makes it look so easy, but there aren't many people that can do that.
It's exhausting, though - as he has to cram in so much - as others have said, that Show deserves 60 minutes.

I also think he could do Davina's job much better than her. I thought her exit interviews were pretty useless. She seemed scared of George, sycophantic towards Pete & her interview with Dennis was the worst of all. Ok, I appreciate he's not the easiest person in the world to interview, but she just used it as a platform to make her own 'unfunny' sexual innuendos. Whether you like Dennis or not (I did, but went off him after he sold his soul to George & Pete) - there was some potential there for a really interesting exit interview handled the right way.

He does make the show but it is irritating the way he does not let anyone speak for more than 2 seconds.

The funniest thing on BBBM last night was at the beginning when Russell said "Jade we don't need you anymore we've got Chantelle" Jade's face dropped and she never said anything or was asked to say anything on the show.I bet Jade was expecting to say something horrible about Chantelle but chose not to because of the mood of the programme.

He is really good, and strangely attractive.

I only tried eforum a couple of times and hated it, but russel has been fantatsic on this show, it is certainly the better of the two companion shows.

(I was also very relieved to find that John lad is 16 as I was beginning to think I was turning into a perve)

Does anybody remember the show he took part in on MTV.the one where he used to go round clubs interviewing people who looked off of it?.i think he's a talented young presenter myself, and i hope he gets more opportunities.

BBBM is the best thing about Big Brother. I love that the show is chaotic, and Russel is just genuinely funny and witty. And unlike Dermot he just says wots on his mind and if things are gettin a bit much he just tells the guests to "shut up and get to bed". This BBBM has been the best yet and I agree that for BB7 the show needs to be 60 mins or at least 45 mins long.

saw him do stand up a couple of months back and he was really funny!...i have a distant memory of some analogy between peanuts in a pub and minstrels at an orgy... but anyways...was a good laugh and the jokes were pretty intelligent (maybe bar that one!)

I like the way he slips in big words like "lupine" and "duress" to confuse his witless guests.

Russell B gives the presentational side of BB a much needed edge, especially when you look at the other two, who come across as toothless imbeciles mostly.

May your bountiful empire continue to expand, Russell, and stay late-nite! Being post-watershed made this series of BBBM the success it was, shucking off the constraints of the 7 o'clock show .....

I have found the programme annoying at times. But last nights one was very good! He does need to stop talking over people though.

I've found this thread very interesting, because it confirms to me that he really was better this time around, and it wasn't just that I had got used to him or something!

I watched Efourum a few times and thought it was mediocre and he was annoying, but it was literally only a few times because my wife found him so irritating she couldn't bear to be in the same room!

But this time I've really taken a shine to the show, and to his presenting in particular, and found it to be one of the most entertaining parts of the BB phenomenon. I hope it's back and still at six nights a week in the summer, although I suppose I couldn't really blame him if he didn't want to work six days a week for a thirteen-week period! Mind you, Dermot does it, so you never know...

Regarding Dermot, I actually didn't like him at all for the first series or two of BBLB but now I really like him. Not as entertaining to watch as BBBM but I think BBLB is still good at what it does and a very worthwhile contribution.

I can partly understand the people complaining that BBLB's on at an annoying time now, incidentally, but really, don't you people have video recorders, Sky Plus or whatever? Surely if you used to find time to watch it in the evening at 6pm or whenever, you could just record it in the morning and then watch it at 6pm each day? I can't understand the problem with that. Takes less time, too: you can skip the ads

Hmm, I think I've gone off-topic. I'll shut up now!

He's head and shoulders above Davina and Dermot for me.Part of his appeal is that he is such a quick witted and intelligent bloke and is able to think on his feet.He had me in stitches last night when he told George Galloway 'I like oil' and 'I'm in favour of war'

He also suggested that Jade 'should check herself into a hospice and have a lethal injection administered'
