Ever since the arrival of big brother 2, 5 years ago the fans and the news papers have always referred to the show by the number.

why is this?

i think it makes them sound more exciting. like the sequal to a film.

Big Brother 3: JADES REVENGE
Big Brother 4: YAWN BRIGADE
Big Brother 5: THERES SOMETHING ABOUT NADIA
