Serious thread - Why I voted for her... (no pro or anti Chantelle soundbites or cliches please).

I would normally NEVER vote on this BB money maker, but what made me do it was that I was so impressed with her personal qualities (not boobs)

Without acting (IMO) she always knew when to say please & thank you. She has been brought up very well by her parents. If only we were all so "nice?" then maybe we wouldnt have the sh*theads that we do roaming the streets.

So I voted for her because I know she sets a good example that I would love others to copy.

What do you think?

I voted for her because...
she made me smile more than anyone else, she was always up beat, she wasnt afraid to stick up for herself and she was up for a laugh.

I knew this one might be a bit difficult for you.

So you dont aproove or encourage politeness? You dont think that her manners may have an effect on kids?

(mental note: Dayus might be a kid??) Trust me Dayus...manners are good, and cost nothing!!!

and it is responses like this that gets passed on to the kids who turn into little s*its. Maybe you could learn something from this?

I am not trying to wind you up but if we all embraced what was good about her then we would pass on a few better habits to the brats of today.

As for dumb tart with few morals........

Is basic manners really enough to hand you the Big Brother prize? I mean, this should be there by default. I'm sure many of the other HMs were the same too. It's like Helen winning BB, which of course would've been a travesty.

Can you not even tell when someone is being sarcastic (or in the vocabulary of many here tonight, taking the piss)?

She's just added on to a career she had already started. Expect a Jodie Marsh career coming along. The girl has already paved the way.

I think I judged it on the evidence presented to me. Who would make the better role model etc....

eg: Pete or Chantelle?

Good enough to win BB? Well IMO...yes.

There are much better role models in life than Chantelle. I would worry about any parent who promotes her as some kind of role model.

I can guarantee this is a 100% genuine thread. The problem is that there just arent that many here.

Chantelle was sweet.

Did you hear on the winner interview. When she said that George cheated for the second time... then she stopped and said "i didn't mean it like that"

She is sincerely funny.

Best quote of the whole lot for me, was when Davina said to Chantelle, "please promise me you won't change"

She has manners. Compared with that rude Rodman, who burped all over the place, and just looked arrogant afterwards

I am suspecting that I am chatting to the Anti lobby, which is a pity. I so wanted to avoid this.

I agree, there are better role models, I just didnt see them in the BB house.

Tiffy I am interested to know, why did you vote for Chantelle rather than Traci?

There is a very high chance you will be right. But if insist on judging everything by looking into the future then you will go mad.

Maybe, just maybe, she might pull it off? Whether she does or not I dont really care but I did like hearing how she conducted herself and I didnt mind the kids listening to it.

I liked Traci but I was slowly getting very frustrated with her. Once again, very polite etc.. but I didnt feel she was genuine one little bit.

I watched her one nite chatting to Maggot and she was soooo guarded and wouldnt give any opinion without taking five minutes to think about it.

So I think it came down to trust.

Tiffy I see what you`re getting at.

But to be honest BB is one of the last places I would be looking at for a role model for any child.

Agree completely. There aren't many parents of BB housemates who can say their daughter did absolutely nothing in the house to be embarassed about. I liked her.

But isnt the majority of viewers the younger ones? The BB show is so popular and watched by millions...well I just thought if you are going to have a winner then at least make it one that appears polite and nice. A bit cringing but that is what I thought.

What morals did she lack in......again?

I feel I have to ask this question in the appropriate threads.

Yes, I would absolutely wish for my only child to singlemindedly emulate her sterling example. I would encourage her to quit school because the real rewards are to be gained through dubious fame and instant stardom. Henceforth she will cease studying for her A levels in English, because 20 words is all you need to get by as a celebrity in the public eye. She will now stop going out with any of her friends who have any remaining interest at all in learning and education.

Thank you very much for enlightening me on who the new role model for ambition in life really ought to be. At last, I shall now be able to point my daughter in the right direction.
