People deal with things in different ways. Yes, Preston's girlfriend is probably pissed off at him and yes, she might have even dumped him. If that's the case, bearing in mind he's just come out of a house where he's spent every waking moment with the other people who were going to be on BBBM does it not stand to reason that he might want to slip back into that comfort zone at a time of such uncertainty and be with people who have no expectations of him and aren't wanting him to make decisions about his future, at least until he has time to take in what's happening?
I really don't think that a year old relationship could survive the might of Preston's Big Brother experience, he really does like Chantelle, so I think that he and his girlfriend will just call it a day.

Yes I do agree, but to openly say I f**king love her on live tv seems odd to me that is all. When Davina was interviewing him he said No shame about his highlights with Chantelle, he said his g/f was giving him evils, but he did not say she knows what I am like and knows that I lover her did he.
He could have easily have said whilst on stage with Davina my g/f knows I love her very very very much and she has nothing to worry about.

Is it because she is French that he thinks she does not know what is going on?, I'm totally confused with his behaviour but maybe it's an age thing, he is still quite young.

I don't think the Wrap Party is tonight, it's usually a few days after the final, because tonight will be all press conferences, catching up with family members and getting some sleep.

Yet old enough to know what he's doing. I got the impression that he was quite cold about her during his interview, and the 'giving me evils' comment genuinely shocked me.

If he had declared his undying love for his girlfirend in the Davina interview he would have be demonised for using Chantelle, if he, as he did, stood by his actions in the house he would and has been demonised for belittling what he supposedly has with his girlfriend.

very true!!, but why was his girlfriend not invited up on the stage afterwards?.Strangely enough it was Maggot and Pete that were warning him not to get too carried away with the whole Chantelle thing, he must have wished he took heed.
I was impressed by his damage limitation skills in the interview... well funny! respect him more for all the "I'm just a touchy feeley person, people should just know that" he said whilst accidently pointing towards his gf!

no-one knows the state of their relationship before he went into the house......but it;s good to speculate I also think that being in the house fundamentally changes people, ex housemates often need the company of otehrs who have shared, what is still a very rare, and unique experience.

I hope Preston's g/f has dumped him because:
1. It will make those who feel his behaviour was unnacceptable feel vindicated
2. She will have no need to feel guilt when she accepts £100K for her story when the NOTW et al bid for the juicy sob story because she can say to the nay sayers "I owe him nothing"
3. Preston can move on with his life, what ever he chooses to do.
4. Chantelle can move on with her life, what ever she chooses to do.
5. If Preston and Chantelle get together they can will have no need to feel guilty when they sell their story for £250K to the NOTW et all because it was Preston's girlfriend who chose to end things and he can say "I never meant to hurt anyone, we never did anything wrong and we both wish her well", all of which are true.

i think most of the posts here are pretty valid...i'm going to watch it agin - to be sad - but also cuz i was pretty pished last night, from what I say, Preston looked either: nervous, sad or constipated.. his gf looked really unhappy and unsuprisingly..and i'm pretty sure if hasn't got beef with him after the bb house then she will after the exit interview..i have to say i hoped preston would win cuz i've enjoyed watching him and a part of me would love the prestelle thing to run for aaaaaaaages...
i think the relationship with the gf might be over for a number of reasons:
a)she might have had enough anyway
b)reports were it was on the rocks before the house and this might have pushed them over the edge
c)she now knows how flirty he really is around her and will be constantly paranoid even if they stay together, which in my experience tends to lead to massive bust ups
d)the attention on them from the media - will they/won't they stay together is going to put massive pressure on an already tense relationship and they will probably decide to "take some time apart" to work out what they want...
imo
