Do you picture them as I do? The chantelle haters - fat and ugly, the jodie lovers - fat and ugly, the pete lovers - fat and ugly, the chantelle lovers - perfectly reasonable people who are above average in looks and so are not bitter and twisted and can let the little girl have her moment without becoming resentful that they have made nothing of their lives and never will...

So you are assuming that I'm fat and ugly And I do not have a fulfilling life?
A few Are... too familiar with others, ready to make snap judgements, domineering and too readily nit pick other fm e.g spelling, grammar, hypocritical moralists without manners, humour, grace or dignity. Refelective of the decline of society they bemoan. They know it. You know who they are.

My spelling was criticised tonight and I was deeply hurt. I can't believe that I was chastised for not being able to spell after 4 pints, 2 brandy and lemonades and half a bottle of tesco's red.
They shouldn't pick on the afflicted! We can't all be sober!!!

I don't have the confidence to come on this forum without having quite a few drinks. You are doing okay.

Easily done. I try to say the right things but it's not always possible.

Say the right things to who?
As long as you express your opinion clearly, then you shouldn't give a toss what anyone else thinks. Some people will always try to point score on things like grammar, spelling etc. Sod 'em. It's their problem, not yours.
