And she's not just some shagpiece, he actually lives with her.

I must say I'm pretty disgusted at the reaction of so many people to the Preston/Chantelle thing. It's like it's been some cute love story all along, no-one seems to care that there is a very real person involved in all this that must cearly be deeply upset by it (judging by various press reports and her face at tonight's eviction)... Why is it that this kind of behaviour - cheating - is considered acceptable by the BB audience?

Obviously, it's because the audience demographic is mostly tweenies who don't care what he's done "cos he is fit innit". Or alternatively, who have so little life experience that they just don' understand the true reality of being cheated on by a partner. Or even more alternatively, and probably most likely, are products of today's society where any behaviour no matter how unacceptable is deemed acceptable when fame is involved

I saw Sarah Kaywood on Big Mouth tonight saying she voted for him "because he's so cute". What a complete idiot (pretty typical of her actually), she wouldn't be saying that if she was the partner left at home while he spent night after night kissing and feeling up another girl and telling her how much he'd love her "if I didn't have a girlfriend"

Same with Rula Lenska, a woman old enough to know better, but then I guess she just illustrates that female misogyny knows no generational barrier

as I've said numerous times, love isn't convenient. My mother was engaged when she met my dad.................does that make her a bad person? They were happily married for nearly 50 years, till she died. Would it have been better for her to stay with the fiance and been unhappy, but 'honourable'?

Of course not, but the decent thing would have been to end it with the fiancee before starting with the other guy. It's a simple matter of respect.

Sometimes something can just hit you, you may not want it too, you may try to ignore it or bottle it up, but I'm afraid that P has feelings for her and it showed, to everyone watching

I think it depended on who Preston was doing the 'cheating' with. If it was any other girl, I think she would have gotten a lot more flak. I think Endemol also steered most of the viewing public towards thinking the relationship was sweet.

That's not quite the same as spending a fortnight in the Big Brother house is it.

The OP's indignance is rather laughable.

Who are you reprimanding?

Yes, we are all aware that Preston has a serious girlfriend, that he lives with, and is apparently very serious about Doh!!!

Why are you reminding the knowledgeable, I believe it's Preston who needs to be reminded.

I thought it was well known that a few weeks there is the equivalent of a year in the outside?

I'm reprimanding the tweenies that insist on posting messages on here talking about how wonderful this deceitful, disrespectful behaviour is.

It depends what you mean by cheating?
I didn't see anything I would define as 'cheating'

Well said dear. Prestons girlfriend, if pissed off, should have stayed away tonight. If she is sticking around, then she must be happy to accept his friendship with Chantelle.

As for your mum, I'm so glad she had happiness in her life rather than lived a lie. Love conquers all. And you - well you were a procduct of that love. Ain't that somethin else? Your mother has left you with a legacy of being who you are for the right reasons. Be proud. Your mum was true to herself. That's the only way.... (Oh how I miss my own mum).

Cheating can be many things, from sex right down to words. To tell someone they are your soulmate and that if you didn't have a girlfriend you'd be in there, are the first steps towards cheating.

She is probably lapping up the media coverage on her. If she was that pi**ed off she wouldn't have been there.
Attraction isn't something you ignore life is too short to ignore it.

Au contraire, I think most people would have gone to have it out with him at the first opportunity.

My sentiments exactly lapping up the media. Anyone with any self respect would have waited for him to get in touch. Never do it in public or in front of bayhing press, unless you want to be on the front pages the next morning! Which she does.

So you think he took the first steps towards cheating? So he didn't actually cheat?

For what it's worth I don't believe he cheated. That's not to say he doesn't want to take it further. I think both P & C would have taken it further if he didn't have a girlfriend. But he does, so they didn't.

And I think the word soulmate has lost it's meaning lately and shouldn't be taken so seriously.

First steps towards are the operable words. Having experienced the pain of being cheated on myself, I saw nothing that constituted cheating in my eyes.

No-one had a go at Maggot and Traci cuddling, kissing each other and him putting his hand on her bum did they and she is engaged. Nor was there a furore about her trying to get him into her bed when she was drunk.

Maybe the degrees of cheating vary depending on who is involved.

As lin said love isn't convenient it just happens, however much you try to fight it.

I am also not a tweenie, I'm approaching my 50s.

Ah but emotions know no restraint, maybe she just wanted to humiliate him in front of everyone - good for her.

Maggott's touching Traci's bum happened a couple of times, it wasn't an all day every day thing like Preston and Chantelle, complete with "you're my soulmate" and "if I didn't have a girlfriend", as well as hugging, kissing and gazing at each other.
